Super great day today, longs, shorts and trading all did very well! Getting close to my highs again from a month ago. Only reason I am not hitting new highs right now is due to metals getting crushed for over a month now.

SW, Helikon Investments is more concentrated than you. They Basically own EGO, I can’t find much out their on the web about them, would love to know their track record.

Couldn’t make it 4 days in a row :( lost .7 on the day. Had a few blow ups goro, ego and HPK. Shorts saved the day along with my non commodity holdings names as they held up well. Added, to goro and ego a good amount, and only got 250 shares of HPK under 10.10, really bearish on oil right now the reason for the tiny add. It is really hard to make money the last month or so! The Russell is down over 8% from its highs, the only thing holding up the main benchmarks are the same tech rock stars. My guess whenever that trade breaks is when we see the big down days as they are the reason for most of the gains.

An interview with grant dated 5/4/2021 title the Fed cannot control inflation, of course I can’t paste it. He pointed out the spread between gold and miners is pretty wide, well since that time it has grown wider. I visited some of the miners I own message boards just now and sentiment on average is bearish :). I think we have filtered out a good portion of the weak hands, just another indicator we are near bottom.

Held my nose again and bought more GORO, once again underperforming all my miners down 3-4%.

Metals are so oversold GORO and EGO hit 52 weeks lows again. I bought a little more on each name, buying slowly, but continue to accumulate.

Interesting name I just learned about on VIC, like the founder owns about a quarter of the company and a good portion of the share price is backed by cash.

Great day, killed the benchmarks, finished down but not much .4 of a percent. Was hoping for better bargains, but did add to AE, COG, EGO, GORO and took starter positions in CURN, EQX, NGS and IAG.

SW, did you read the Palm Valley letter I posted? He is pretty much cash and most of what he is buying is in the commodity sector. I discovered this fund last year as we were investing in a lot of the same names. It continues to be the case as COG, SSRM and Vidler (I owned PICO last year) appear in his portfolio.

The #gold price is up 2.5% from its June low. Since investors expect the #Fed to successfully fight off #inflation with rate hikes, gold mining stocks just took out the June lows. Investors are wrong. Not only won't the Fed win an inflation fight, it won't even step in the ring.

I was just a little off when I said 200 square miles off memory. It looks like it is more than double.

The Company's six properties now encompass over 68,000 contiguous hectares (684 square kilometers), including 55 kilometers of the regional "San Jose structural fault corridor" which trends North 70 West.
