Management Information

Phillip Hooks is a portfolio manager and research analyst for tax-exempt portfolios at Seix Investment Advisors, an affiliated manager of Virtus Investment Partners. He is responsible for setting credit policy and exposure limits, performing credit analysis on current and prospective holdings, and making relative value investment recommendations for issuers in the municipal bond market. Before joining Seix's predecessor firm in 2009, Mr. Hooks worked as a municipal analyst for Evergreen Investment Management Company where he served as the lead analyst for several mutual funds. Mr. Hooks earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst(r) (CFA(r)) designation, and is a member of the CFA Society of Orlando. He began his career in the investment industry in 2005.
