    Ericsson CEO Ekholm set to leave, Saab's Buskhe could replace him - paper

    Telecom equipment maker Ericsson's CEO Borje Ekholm could be about to announce his exit after less than three years in the job with outgoing Saab CEO Hakan Buskhe planned as his replacement, business daily Dagens Industri reported on Wednesday citing anonymous sources. Ekholm - a veteran board member and former CEO of Investor AB - became CEO in January 2017 after the Swedish company ousted its previous top executive, Hans Vestberg, due to weakening profitability and pressure from major shareholders. "The idea is that Hakan Buskhe will take over as CEO of Ericsson.

    ABB CEO steps down abruptly in middle of group's overhaul

    ABB Chief Executive Ulrich Spiesshofer has quit the Swiss industrial group as the board and major shareholders look for a speedier turnaround at the maker of industrial robots and supplier of factory automation. Spiesshofer's abrupt exit follows the launch of the biggest overhaul in ABB's 31-year history to reposition the company more towards digital industries and agreeing to activist shareholder demands to sell its power grids business. Time ran out for Spiesshofer, who has led ABB since September 2013, following a conference call between board members on Tuesday evening.

    Volkswagen is in talks with Swedish institutional investors AMF, AP Fund 1 and 4, Investor AB and Folksam about being cornerstone shareholders in the dual listing of its trucks unit Traton in Stockholm and Frankfurt, people familiar with the talks said. The discussions could result in more than one cornerstone investor being brought on board and are for each investor to take a 150 million to 300 million euro ($171.21-$342.42 million) stake, these sources told Reuters, declining to be named as talks were confidential.
