Since 9 Sept. SP has come off by 34p despite cashing in some of its Oxford Nanopore holdings and its subsequent run up after its IPO. And then using £35mill to buy in IP's own shares difficult to comprehend what's going on here!! Any theories or info out there??

Anybody else in this stock with a forward looking view that would help us to understand recent SP movements????

New surge in IPO price build up of news flow all a bit fragmented and difficult to evaluate potential short term but how good are the management at achieving NAV growth? Any views?

Decided to post to try and get a conversation going on here! I for one am v. bullish on IPO. I think their business model is at point of maturation (ie becomes self sufficient) and we are at inflection point. I think IPO’s Oxford nanopore holding is as/more valuable than their current mcap! Nasdaq genomics stocks have exploded this year and IMO, it’s just the beginning. For example, see how PACB has performed this year. Sequencing market is forecast to grow exponentially with double to maybe triple digit CAGR. With long reads and scaled down systems ONT is poised to take a bigger share of a growing market. So essentially with IPO at current price you get the other 60 or so companies for next to nothing, when ONT floats. What does anyone else think?

@Daniel: Thanks- I did get ACTG.
    Some numbers about Oxford Nanopore

    As per article in Barron:
Oxford Nanopure - total funding to £613 million ($840.2 million) since founding
Projected: That gives it a valuation of £1.5 billion ($2 billion)—making it one of the U.K.’s rare “unicorns”—an unlisted technology company valued at more than $1 billion.

Anyone know when we can expect the Oxford Nanopore Technologies IPO?

@Duncan, I’m certainly bullish for IPO but tbh I’m disappointed with their timing of Ceres exit. Obviously they needed the liquidity but they’ve missed serious growth in H2 2020. They should have been able to anticipate this as they’ve worked closely with Ceres so have ‘insider’ knowledge. As long as ONT exit is not rushed in this way I’m happy!
    Bullish

I am with you , Daniel, I bought in about 12 months ago, they did well with Ceres, which has continued to rocket, and the portfolio will come of age within next 2 years

Great results announced today! The prospects for future growth are huge as many of these startups begin to mature. Also good to see healthy cash balances!
    Bullish
