you have to take into account the float which is deceiving to many ... because china ownes 27% , another mining company ownes 12% , friedland ownes 11% and african gov ownes 20 % = 70 % of all outstanding shares owned ! = about 840M shares = public shares available / owned are 30% of 1.2 B = 360 M true shares outstanding .

Market liked the PR today, Oct 19. 11% grade copper plus a definitive operations month, July 2021 instead of "Third quarter 2021." May have been stated before, but it's nice to put those two things on the "front page." Money flows from the impatient to the patient -- WB.

Another good update, another down day. Please, no more good news! My back of the napkin basedon today?s data is about $12 per share when up, running, and reporting. Other projects, zinc and South Africa, will add to that. Guestimate around $20 ps in 2-3 years, if the world doesn?t turn to #$%$

Wonder if Friedland plans to take this to NASDAQ. Would open up to institutions.

SP surging on update. Was hoping this would languish until Spring, when I could free up more funds. Oh, well. Holding plenty and hindsight never made a cent for anyone.

Ok. This is what Friedland meant by strategic talks. No buy-out, but a complementary smelter operation. Terms are everything. We’ll see what this does to the price. Note article saus coming online in less than a year. So, about July 2021?

Excellent credentials for these two new board members. I place diversity (well) behind competence but these appointees have both. Well done.

Almost 7% gain today for IVN. I am exited for this industry, SmallCapCanada just released an article that I think it relates to what is going on globally and mining: https://smallcapcanada.com/articles/articles/as-china-is-restarting-coronavirus-caused-supply-disruptions-might-support-metals-prices-in-the-short-term

From, "Decreasing Ore Grades in Global Metallic Mining:A Theoretical Issue or a Global Reality?":
"At present, the global average copper ore grades for copper mines is
    approximately 0.62% of Cu content".
Ivanhoe is ahead of schedule on build, AND stockpiling 8% ore!

Ivanhoe slowly coming back to life. One year from revenue. I’ve been waiting 4-5 years. I think we have a guaranteed winner. Maybe a China buyout of DRC assets in time.

Increasing the royalties from 2% to 3.5% is not a bad idea if it is passed through to the people as opposed to being confiscated by their corrupt rulers. This increase in royalties is easily absorbed by the mining companies, especially given the doubling or tripling of the sales price of the minerals.
