Achievement unlocked — speed! At 205 mph true airspeed, our first pre-production aircraft just completed what we believe to be the fastest flight of an eVTOL aircraft to date.

    Next stop: 10,000 feet! https://t.co/X9Lmb2OEzp

Tesla in 2010 was all promise and no business. yet when you net cash (total cash -debt) from market cap, it was trading higher.

My point is this is way worst than 2010 valuation for comparable company.

Sure Tesla today worth $1T+ even after endless dilution from about $2B enterprise value in 2010.

I can't predict future but I strongly believe valuation should be relative term.

But Back in 2010 25 PE consider expensive medium /large cap. Today even 100 PE for very large cap not consider very expensive and you would have hard time finding below 25 PE company and yet market willing to give moon shot with no industry level surety higher valuation than Joby in 2022 where eVTOL expected to exceed car market in 20 year.

Risk is high but reward is way more higher in my opinion. Risk at this level is may be another $1 downside..

Well I'm done for now. Last buy at $4.90 and holding way more than I wanted to Who knows how low this is gonna go. Much lower and the cash on hand will exceed the market value. Somethings gotta give soon...

Enterprise value at around 1.3B which is 40% below than it valued in 2019 end private funding.

Company make very solid progress toward commercialization and even grab Uber unit and get $1.1B extra funding.

So all large caps trading at 40 - 100 PE like their business will never stop growing but all small and big bigger companies trading like there is no tomorrow.

We don't know when those bias will end. Funny part is reason we have such bias because we have 401k, pension fund invested that way and we have no choice to change how we invest our own money.

not sure why this continues to drop - this is getting very expensive for me - it keeps dropping and I keep buying.

Joby did submit request/clarification on UAS here is content from article that very interesting.

An individual requested that the FAA establish a less restrictive process for UAS type certification for first responders and emergency management operators for State agencies and subdivisions. The commenter suggested that because the primary job of emergency responders is public safety, the type certification process was burdensome and unwarranted. Certain FAA civil certification and safety oversight regulations do not apply to public aircraft. Aircraft that do not meet the qualifications for public aircraft status are civil aircraft.[4] UAS operated by government agencies, law enforcement, and State public safety entities may qualify as public aircraft, as defined by statute under 49 U.S.C. 40102(a)(41) and 40125.[5] This policy for type certification of certain UAS only applies to civil aircraft.

Another Joby tweet: "Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing updates from inside our flight test program as we continue with “envelope expansion. Follow along as we target a top speed of over 200mph and a max altitude of over 10,000ft. - faster and higher than any eVTOL aircraft has flown before."

Finally see detail about $6 target. And reading it can’t stop laughing. They comparing valuation with other eVTOL and says expectation is very high. If this is trading at 20 I would agree. But at 6 just amazing how they make big boys game reality.

"Joby is holding on to a head start, but expectations are high," Barclays analyst David Zazula wrote in a note yesterday.

Zazula added that "expectations are elevated given an equity valuation more than 2x Archer or Lilium, so tangible progress from others could cause the share price to contract."

The fact that Joby special conditions are STILL not published in the Federal Register (almost an entire year after Joby announced signing stage 4) is very troubling as it indicates that FAA is not moving forward in a timely fashion. In the absence of real news I have to conclude that this program is in SERIOUS trouble with this certificaiton program. The fact they have only conformed ONE structure panel in all that time is pathetic. The fact they are vertically integrated means they have ALOT of parts that must undergo environmental qualification testing, which must be done on equipment that has not yet been conformed. My take is that the program lost an entire year last year and made NO progress towards FAA certification. Otherwise, it would be a GREAT time for Joby to give a real update on certification.
    1) What percentage of project specific certification plans (PSCP) have been ACCEPTED by FAA?
    2) What percentage of type design data has been submitted with FAA Form 8110-3 approving the data?
    3) How many test plans have been APPROVED by FAA, and what percentage of testing is company complete, awaiting FAA testing.
All these news stories about "second pre-production airworthiness certificate" don't really mean that much in the bigger picture as they are still development aircraft. NOT CERTIFICATION aircraft.
I see Joby has lots and lots of job postings for certification professionals in all disciplines (DERs), which tells me they aren't really staffed for the work ahead.
Someone PLEASE give us an update that actually shows some progress......

Yet another milestone. Tweet from Joeben
Experience of a lifetime flying chase. In 2009 we set out to build a new mode of transportation that is fast, clean and quiet. Today our eVTOL flew 186 mph. I am so grateful to each and every person propelling us towards this fantastic future.

I wouldn't brag about Cathie Wood's ARK buying. A lot of stock she touched plunged. She bought the following:

ACHR over $10 (her funds own a lot more shares of ACHR than of JOBY's)

    JOBY over $10

    PLTR over $28 from IPO

    COIN over $300 from IPO

All of her funds are down over 25% already, and it's barely January.

If I understand options work, won’t the 800,000+ shares in put contracts be automatically assigned to holders after the closing bell today? Most of them at $5.00.

    Joby's direct and indirect competitors.

EVE is going public in a few weeks.
    Archer (ACHR)
    Lilium (LILM)
    Vertical (EVTL)

If you think Joby price is devastating now, it will get worse as we get closer to March when the Fed increases interest rate. Many think that the Fed will increase a quarter point and is already factored in price.

All SPECULATIVE stocks such as Joby will nose dive if the Fed surprises the market with a half point instead of a quarter or a second increase immediately after the first increase.

    $ACHR, $LILM, $EVTL
