Britain’s largest mobile carrier EE is building on existing partnerships with Apple Inc. and J Sainsbury Plc in a bid to hold onto subscribers as competition intensifies in the U.K. wireless market.
U.K. stocks closed with modest losses Tuesday, but the selloff was limited by gains among miners, as well as payments processor Worldpay Group PLC and supermarket chain J Sainsbury PLC.
J Sainsbury shares gained in early Tuesday trading after the supermarket reported better-than-expected first quarter sales.
