Koios announces its five flavour line of nootropic beverages have been accepted into KeHE Distributors’ elevate™ program. Based in Naperville, IL, KeHE distributes fresh, natural, organic and specialty food and beverage products to more than 30,000 stores in North America. The Company has added Josh Luman to its board of directors. Luman, who has also served on Koios' board of advisors since May of 2018, previously held an executive role at Molson Coors, the second-largest beer brewer in the United States , for whom Luman was a global brand director, as well as the general manager of affiliated brewer Blue Moon. CSM has worked with hundreds of different vendors in its history of nearly twenty years, with a reach consisting of approximately 7,000 retail outlets across the country.
Koios has been added to the vendor network of Fort Collins -based LoCo, a distributor of food and beverage products grown and/or processed in Colorado, USA . LoCo distributes to Colorado locations of large chain grocers such as Safeway and Albertsons, in addition to independent and specialty storefronts and foodservice outlets. LoCo also operates an annual trade show exclusively for LoCo vendors to exhibit, which will provide Koios the opportunity to showcase its products to a new audience of primarily wholesale purchasers.
Boasting six warehouse facilities across the United States and a robust supply chain that can distribute to all of the contiguous states of the United States within one to two business days, Muscle Foods is a major national wholesaler and distributor of sports nutrition and health products. Following an announcement on July 18, 2019 stating that Koios would use CBD supplied by Colorado -based Keef Brands in its Fit Soda™ line of beverages, the Company has added Keef Brands President and COO Travis Tharp to its advisory board. Mr. Tharp has held growth-oriented roles in operations-intensive firms including home services marketplace Handy, which ANGI Homeservices Inc. later acquired. Tharp's role as an advisor to Koios will complement the Company's relationship with Keef Brands as a supplier of CBD.
Following the Company's September 4, 2018 announcement of plans to release a functional beverage infused with CBD, Koios has resumed development with test batch production set to begin tomorrow. The CBD cannabinoid will be added to Koios' "Fit SodaTM" line of functional beverages, as a method of enhancing the beverage's effects.
