(KBR) announced today that its joint venture with SOCAR has been awarded two separate Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contracts for a new Production, Drilling, Quarters (PDQ) platform – the Azeri Central East (ACE) platform – to be located in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. The contracts, which were awarded by the Azerbaijan International Oil Company, cover the provision of FEED services for the new platform, along with associated brownfield tie-ins to other existing platforms in the ACG field, and a separate contract for the subsea services FEED. Following previous awards to other regional and international clients, these contracts mark the 4th and 5th awards to the joint venture, SOCAR-KBR Limited Liability Company (SOCAR-KBR), since its inception in mid-2015.

Iraq has approved the sale by Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) of the company's 20 percent stake in Iraq's West Qurna 1 oilfield to Japan’s Itochu Corp , a senior Iraqi oil official said on Wednesday. (KBR) announced today that KBR, Inc. has been selected to carryout Pre-Notice to Proceed (Pre-NTP) services for the Woodfibre liquefied natural gas (LNG) Project. The Woodfibre LNG Project is located in the District of Squamish near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and is licensed to export approximately 2.1 mtpa of LNG for 40 years.
Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide a technology license and basic engineering design for the RCF ammonia plant at Trombay, Maharashtra, India.
