Kronos leading competitor Tronox is 24. KRO will be at 24 in 6 month.

Help me out here. 360 million in cash, 81% insider ownership & a decent PE what is wrong here? Why so beaten down? I will be watching this one.

We are seeing the usual pattern today. A big sell off based on results where the worst Analysts on the Street say they have missed estimates. More due to poor estimates by the analysts than poor performance from the company. However the headlines will read as a big miss and the stock tanks. I sometimes wonder if this is a strategy by those analysts so that they can buy shares on the cheap. Yes, Sales volumes were a little light, but on P30 of the 10K the Company says they will be better in the second half, and they are looking at further price increases. Operating income is projected to be higher than last year but EPS will be below last years $3.06/share as last year included about $0.80 of one time tax gains. So we are looking at an EPS of $2.60 to $3.00 a share for this year. Shares at the $21.00 current price are just too low, and will go higher over the next few days. I am still interested in what will happen with all the cash. Currently have $432m on hand ($3.73 per share) with the $461m of debt not repayable until 2025. Cash flow is awesome and is accumulating at $0.50 per qtr. (EPS of $0.67 and dividend of $0.17). Surely a big increase in dividend is due, a one time special dividend, or a share repurchase. If this happens, the share price will really take off.

missed the estimates for sales and eps, but substantial recovery growth for the quarter. I usually sell on a miss, but with a dividend yield of 5% and an established player in a fundamental industry, patients seems to be in order. If the MM's whack it back under 10 on no additional "bad" news, I'll be tempted to add more.

I sold this stock today. So disappointing the decline I had to give it up. It is so hard to make a gain even in this so called strong market.

Will the Tronox news affect us in a positive way?

Tronox Ltd has reached a settlement with U.S. antitrust enforcers that will allow it to move forward with its purchase of much of Cristal's titanium dioxide business, the Federal Trade Commission said on Wednesday.

At least with the blowout earnings KRO isn't down 10-15% like most high flying companies. Seams like every time I turn around, one of my stocks completely blows the earnings estimates out of the water, and the stock inevitably falls 10%. I could understand it if it just met earnings or provided a lower forward estimate, but not when they far and away exceed every metric.

Approx 500m in cash, 500m debt, 29% payout ratio on a 4% div, that just got increased and the stock is trading at a 52 week low, what's not to like?
