YSS merger is completed. Shares will begin trading on March 24th as NOVC on the Canadian TSXV exchange. Can't believe this has been so under the radar as this will now be the 3rd largest cannabis retailer who will be attempting to be the low cost Walmart of weed through their new Value Buds branding which will attempt to pull a lot of business away from those who are currently still buying on the black market. They hope to sell ounces and pounds in addition to grams and quarters. It will take perfect execution to maintain profitability on smaller margins, but utilizing Alcanna's back office for HR, payroll, etc will be an operational benefit that will help, as well as their large footprint. I"m not 100% but I believe they own most of their real estate as well which has been hot and values rising in Canada. Will be interesting to see if this stays under the radar or catches fire. Good luck!

Nice move today; 160,000 volume; sure which I could be in on the information that drove volume today …….. but whatever … got in cheaper …… just matter of time .. low float …. Nova stores increasing revenue … Alcanna a growth stock now... I think … we shall see

Just read the MD&A … lets have some fun with numbers; first the alcohol business improved; great; BUT Cannabis
$8,000,000 in revenue; 5 stores; 75 days reported = $106,667 per day revenue; MD&A provides Alcanna will open 10 to 15 more stores; I will use 15 stores; 15 stores X 365 days a year X $106,667 per day = $584 million revenue … --- anyway I am assuming each Nova store could have had higher revenue but were constrained by supply …. Alcanna is a growth stock looking to double or even triple revenue in the next 2 years......

Bad and good, we got both today. Bad is cronos earning, good is Village firm beat the top and bottom line. Better is a few days away but the best will be on August 2019. By then we will have party and ball dance. Good luck longs.

Few less weak hands after today! It's a growth stock dont expect EPS + same stores sales growth is what to look for.

Alcanna at this price looks very lucrative to me. Aurora owns 25% and option to exercise up to 40%. Alcanna retail store named Nova. Look it up.

So read further and found this in the press release..."After completion of the Amalgamation and assuming the Concurrent Financing is completed for $25.0 million, it is anticipated that Alcanna will hold approximately 69.2%, current YSS shareholders will hold approximately 14.7%, and new subscribers under the Concurrent Financing will hold approximately 16.1% of the Nova Shares, respectively, calculated on a basic basis."
Basically Alcanna shareholders will then own liquor stores and a 69.2% stake in the new Co. that operates pot retail. So not really a great deal for us long term Alcanna shareholders. We give up 30% of future growth in pot retail with this deal. Board members make out like bandits with double dipping.

That’s fun, I open a small position and 2 hours later it drops 10 cents. I’ll stick around for possible growth. :)

From ACB report "In accordance with our strategic investment in Alcanna, the largest private sector liquor retailer in Canada, Alcanna intends to open 37 retail cannabis stores in Alberta (the maximum number permissible under AB regulations for year one), and is targeting additional locations across the country where private retail of cannabis is permissible. Alcanna, in preparation for the onset of private retail in Ontario from April 1, 2019 onwards, is in the process of securing a large number of locations for potential stores in the Ontario, if permitted under the regulatory framework, which is yet to be announced."
