If you are in any other airline stock now is the time to rotate into Southwest.
This thing has to go higher. LUV is a strong, fundamentally sound company. No reason for it to be hovering around this price point.
Thought for sure this was ready to run after strong buying last week. Maybe to strong of buying, they are probably trying to get out week hands. Oh well, looks like I will be in $LUV for the remainder of the year.

A Southwest plane filed a flight plan and is enroute to Hawaii.
interesting comments from JP Morgan regarding LUV and 20% upside they see. I agree with their outlook for this company and potential stock performance. As I have said in July and early August, September is where we will see sustainable growth for this airline. I will continue hold my current position for the time being and see if it performs as I am anticipating.....should be a nice chunk of change of you got in around $50
I'm very positive that airline will grow back to it normal status. The struggling of current is because some people lose their confidence.
LUV, looks to be overvalued at this price check out awe.some*sto-cks, its a pretty reliable service. of course you have to do your own due diligence, but they generally point you in the right direction.
It's reported that Airline's are Price Gouging Airline Ticket's in Florida. That's a CRIME. Report any Price Gouging to the Florida AG's Office.
KIm Jong another nuke test this weekend it appears + Sept 11th also, no one concerned ?

Is it too early to take a new position in the airlines? Looking at LUV, ALK and HA in particular.
$LUV looks like a buy here as it seems to be holding above $50. 35% from 1 year PT's and looking back to Hurricane Katrina which happened nearly same time as this event in September this stock skyrocketed. I am thinking that the amount of travel needed to support those fixing the area and those leaving the area will make air travel boosted in the area which you would think would boost the value of the stock going forward once the airport re-opens. Also large blocks of puts sold today along with some way out the money calls seems pretty bullish like we may be traveling a bottom.
last week I had said we should see inflows to increase this week but North Korea situation can change all of that and here we are.
I think we are looking at $48 to $49 range before we see measurable and sustainable appreciation. historically the stock has done 25%+ correction only to surpass recent highs. technical still haven't changed on the stock. this slide seems to be all about shift to safe haven and overall sentiment. Administration and Congress needs to push through tax cuts.
When should I buy $LUV their financials look good, I really want in but how low will they go?
