Macau’s slowdown extended into September, with gaming revenue falling 49.6% as China’s snap lockdowns to control Covid-19 outbreaks discouraged tourists from visiting the gambling hub.
Gross gaming revenue dropped to 2.96 billion patacas ($366 million), according to data released by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau. The results were in line with the median analyst estimate of a 50% year-on-year decline, extending a slump that started in March.
Revenue rose 35% from the previous month, but it was still down 87% from pre-pandemic levels in 2019.

Singapore is opening its tourism. After a 3-year hiatus F1 racing returning to Singapore which is next to Sands’ MB property!!! None of these articles talk about MBS!! It's always macau macao macau. I watched a highlight of the F1 race and there was a crowd. I imagine F1 has a good international audience compared to a baseball game!

Jeremy Siegel, famed economist and financial adviser, was on CNBC this morning. He said Jay Powell doesn't know what he is doing. Siegel further said he is making the biggest mistake in 110 years by raising interest rates so fast. Wow, those are harsh words. Lol.

Wow, the SP of LVS is still holding up today. Maybe it goes higher to 42-43 in the next week or two. Amazing. Lol.

Due to pent up demand, Chinese travellers will soon swamp Macau casinos like you have never seen before.

I have to agree with Tony about LVS. I used to be positive about LVS years ago, but bad decisions and ill luck have resulted ìnto a poor investment. Even though I made a small amount of money twice with LVS, I would not invest in it now for any reason. It is just too risky to invest in it with rising interest rates and black swan geopolitical events. However for those that do hold positions in LVS, all the best.

It sure is tough to watch this market. Bought more Altria, Phillip Morris and sands. People still love there gambling, drinking and smoking. Heading to Vegas in two weeks and it’s very hard to book events. All sold out. Hang in there it’s only money 🫣🤔

Now, now, Tony let's not get nasty. Let me remind you that Jimmy wanted to put both of us in jail last year for I don't what. Lol.

It looks like it could be a good day for LVS today. I'm still not interested in LVS; but let me extend my best wishes to all that are long LVS.
