LYG looks like it is about to drop. Be careful guys. I have been reading (http://Achieverspot.tech) and their stocks have been doing way better.

This week, a large number of director dealings occurred with Lloyds shares going both ways.

It’s actual valuation is 57p. It’s balance sheet is healthy, risk profile is non existent ( I worked there for 17 years). It’s lending ( mortgages) has been prudent. Regrettably due to its size in domestic business it acts as the Bell weather to the UK hence the volatility of the price. All I can hope for in this stock is they continue to pay the dividend above 5%, share price remains steady (?) and the UK does not tip into recession and the NIMs continue to widen. Let’s give Charlie Nunn a chance, certainly I assure you not half as bad as AHO.

There is a big difference between interest rates going up,and economy contracting,as bad debts disadvantages exceed any rates advantage..To interest rates going up in order to cool a boyant expanding economy... Quarterly reporting season is almost upon us,and be interesting to see level of increase in bad debt provisions.

At these prices they need to BUY shares back, hand over fist. Too many shares on the market. Also retire shares themself. This would be a positive to the share price and a larger benefit to share holders than the small dividends we recieve. Lloyd's needs to address shareholder value better. JMHO.

what annoys me is Lloyds keeps advertising spending millions and they haven't got no branches to go into to

I noticed today that Vanguard will no longer reinvest my LYG dividends. They switched it to cash distributions. Kinda weird. Anyone else noticed this?

Interest rates are rising, so what are the mechanics of the stock market that makes people sell their bank shares when profits are going to rise? If now isn’t a time to buy, there never will be!

There is a story that Lloyds is closing 60 branches in 2022, does Lloyds publish the total number of branches that they have, so that we can tell if 60 branches is a lot.
