Imagine needing to sell Technology stocks at half price or worse to derive income to live off of.

Then imagine making enough dividend income to live off of without having to sell a SINGLE share.

@MO: is a great value stock and it is a defensive stock in the inflation /recession fear ( I think the Fed Chair Powell is over-reacting about the inflation so he keeps increasing rates to combat his fear.
Going back to the MO stock. There are millions if not trillions of smokers out there who are enjoying cigarette and no one would cut back if the cost of cigarette should increase., The cigarette smokers will not
cut back on their smoking , they would cut back on buying electronic toys and other stuffs.... Cigarette sales will continue to rise and MO stock will rebound back to $48 by the year end of 2022. While waiting, I still
collect my quarterly dividend of .94 cents per share... Each time MO stock sell-off, I started accumulating more..... and the pay back is BIG. Be patient ....

MO: Thanks for a strong cash flow and MO continues making profits to support the cash dividend payment in the last 50 years and still going strong... Just imagine picking up almost $4 dividend payment time number of share you own a year...Again, MO is a great value stock and should be own by fixed income seekers. I am a buyer of MO stock today as again, this stock is so oversold and should rebound to $44 near term.

Today was a smaller piece of the overall story of MO and its future. Until today, its been one major setback after another past 2 years with JUUL, IQOS co-promotion with Phillip Morris, Cronos, on and on. And the stock went from mid to high 50's to 41 as a result. I've said more than once that these major setbacks will reverse over time. It will take several years, but they will ultimately have the market-leading products in vaping, Marijuana, combustible AND non-combustible tobacco. And as we've seen for 53 years, they will raise their dividend along the way. I don't think investors remotely understand that future. In 10 years at the most conservative estimate MO stock price will touch $66 with a dividend of $5.50 , minimum, per share. This is an extraordinarily conservative estimate. I'll be loading up as the stock market continues to cool and drop 2022 through 2023, dragging MO down with it. At this price, combined with all the bad news nearly have run its course, it's all upside under $43/ share from here. ALL UPSIDE. Any pulldowns below $43, esp below $41, are strong buy opportunities.

Just a reminder to the Ms. Wangs of the world. For those who held Altria for the last 50 years or so Congratulations. Below is the MO stock split history going back some 50 years. This does not include the spin off of PM and Kraft techically at almost zero cost to share holders.

    06/01/1979 2 for 1

I have no desire to enter this stock. Great company. Just concerned about effect of interest rates and inflation on lowest 25% quartile, MO’s top customer. Downgrading brands, rolling own cigarettes, etc for a long time. Less Marlboro share. Simple math, really. Anyone can clearly understand. If you didn’t take my advice, then you should probably stick around long term and just keep buying cheap shares with divvy. Not a bad play.

You can get 4 to 5 % in an FDIC CD now, 6 months. So you are betting on the getting the other 4% yield,
guess what ,you lost that today in PPS.

Altria still has 750M on their buyback plan. Wouldnt suprise me if they finish that off in the next few weeks and then have the board approve another one worth like 3-4B. Too much value here for them.
