    Montero Mining and Exploration Ltd. (MON.V) (“Montero”) has filed its maiden lithium and tin resource estimate for the Uis Tailings Project (“Project”) on SEDAR and posted to the Montero website. The Project is located in Namibia and consists of large coarse sands and fine slimes tailings waste deposits on surface. The tailings material represents the waste processed material derived from the Uis pegmatite tin mine, the largest tin mine in Africa, prior to its closure in 1990.

    Montero Mining and Exploration Ltd. (MON.V) (“Montero”) is pleased to announce the results from the Avispa Lithium discovery (“Avispa” or the “Property”) in northern Chile. Montero has been awarded 100% of the mining rights to 138 km2 (53 miles2) of Exploration Licenses over an area previously held by Spence Mining (BHP) that drilled the area extensively for copper–molybdenum.     Montero Mining and Exploration Ltd. (MON.V) (“Montero” or the “Corporation”) has been awarded exploration licenses covering an area of 13,800 hectares (the “Avispa project” or “Property”) in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile. The exploration licenses are located between the Salar de Atacama and the coastal range in northern Chile (Figure 1.). The evaporite deposits are considered to have been deposited as a lacustrine sequence that formed in a tectonically isolated part of the early Río Loa basin sedimentary infill in northern Chile.
