I’m not long or short. I’ve traded this stock many times in the past. I’m looking for an entry point but for the life of me I cannot figure out what it is that’s propping this stock up. Why this isn’t 15 or $16 is puzzling to me. Constant bad news, constant cash burn, constant negative outlook. How is this sp staying above $20?
    Neutral

I am long the stock, and also long on some short-term puts. Thus far my puts are losing. I have to say I am surprised, given all the bad financial news that has come out in 2022 for NCLH. KC chief is concerned about the 4Q earnings, however I’m more concerned about 1Q’22. With the vast number of cruises that have been canceled, and the 150% refunds they’ve been giving on numerous cruises that have been canceled mid-sailing, I am certain that 1Q forecasts are going to be revised downward. Why the cruise stocks are trading at such full valuations, while the rest of the market has been tanking for 2 weeks, it blows my mind.

Granted, Norwegian is mandating that passengers use their Future Cruise Credit within 16 months. And is raising cruise prices so the FCC won’t really be worth 150%. But customers are already catching onto those pricing games. People are choosing to cancel rather than be stuck with FCCredits that won’t buy as much value as they used to.

On my cruise last week, the ship sailed at less than 25% pax capacity. 1700 staff, 1200 passengers.

If you look at graph showing the different Covid waves over the last two years, you can plainly see that there’s always been an overlap period where the newer variant took over from and pushed out the older variant. So looking forward, what’s the variant that’s been identified and positioned to take over from Omicron as it is set to roll over the next week or two? And if there is no new variant identified and positioned to take over, what does that mean in terms of the pandemic and travel and leisure stocks like NCLH?
    Bullish

Nothing will stop the rise soon, neither inflation nor interest rates, the stock will launch like a rocket soon, especially when the current Omicron wave disappears

Many of you said that the NCLH will go bankrupt and that we will lose our money. My question to you are, all institutional holders & mutual funds who invested lately in the company, does it, because they wanted to lose their money??? All of you know more than the professionals ????

Buy @ $7 next week . NCLH debt increased almost 100 percent during Covid . Debt to equity 3.71 . It may take 16 years , with full capacity sailing to come to pre Covid stock value . Rising interest rates and certain shares dilution in 2022 .
    Bearish

Europe pushing towards treating omicron is the signal to the end of the pandemic. The next few months will see the rest of the countries follow suit. Testing is limited and everyone is getting sick with omicron. Since omicron is so mild it's the ideal situation for people to get sick and build up natural immunity. The government are out of money and have signaled an end to monetary policy.

With the market looking forward this is the time to buy into tour and travel stocks heading into a very busy spring travel season.

You can always tell when shorts start to worry, they log into their 20 fake accounts, post hundreds of lies about bankruptcy and other false things… just means they know their time is ending.. the Covid and variant media&govt scare tactic is about over

Beware of inflation (oil now over $84), world crises, Russia invading Ukraine, Russia putting bases in Cuba and Venezuela, post Olympics China takeover of Taiwan, rising interest rates. Probable 20% market correction.
