Silver Price Forecast – Silver markets take off on Friday

Silver markets continue to show signs of strength during the day on Friday, using the $17.00 level as a launching point. All things being equal, this is a nice uptrend that should continue to show itself, but we are running into a bit of resistance.

S&P 500 Weekly Price Forecast – Stock markets roll over

The S&P; 500 rallied initially during the week but has ran into a bit of a brick wall near the 2950 level. This is a sign that we can’t take off to the upside very easily. Because of this, I think it’s very likely that we continue to see downward pressure.

Natural Gas Price Fundamental Daily Forecast – Aggressive Short-Sellers Trying to Drive Out Lingering Longs

If this week’s downside momentum continues to build then look for sellers to try to drive the market through $2.132. This could trigger sell stops and aggressive long liquidation down to the contract low at $2.045. It all depends on whether the short-sellers want to squeeze as much profit out of this market before the end of the month.

The U.S. Export-Import Bank said on Thursday its board intends to vote on a $5 billion direct loan for the development of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Mozambique, the bank's biggest export financing deal in years. The government export lender said it has notified the U.S. Congress of the transaction, which will be ready for a final board vote in 35 days. If approved, the transaction would support U.S. exports of goods and services for the engineering, procurement and construction of the onshore LNG plant and related facilities on the Afungi Peninsula in northern Mozambique.

Britain's Cuadrilla pauses gas fracking after earth tremor

British shale gas company Cuadrilla has paused fracking at its Preston New Road site in Lancashire, northwest England, due to an earth tremor late on Wednesday. Cuadrilla, which restarted fracking at the site last week, repeatedly had to stop operations last year under Britain's traffic light regulation system, which immediately suspends work if seismic activity of magnitude 0.5 or above is detected. “We can confirm that a micro seismic event measuring 1.55 ML (local magnitude) on the Richter scale occurred after we had completed the hydraulic fracturing programme for the day at our Preston New Road site," Cuadrilla said in a statement.

Researchers discover climate-friendly way of extracting hydrogen from oil

Scientists have discovered a way to extract hydrogen from oil without releasing greenhouse gases -- a move they've hailed as a "silver bullet" for climate issues. Hydrogen is already used by some car manufacturers to power vehicles and is also burned to generate electricity. However, most of this hydrogen comes from natural gas, which involves producing planet-warming methane during the extraction process. The large-scale roll-out of hydrogen tech has also been restricted because of the high costs involved in separating it from hydrocarbons.
