New tires for versatile excavating work - Nokian Tyres extends the Ground Kare excavator tire family range for both bigger and smaller machines

A lot has changed in excavator contracting after Nokian Tyres released the Nokian Ground Kare tire for wheeled excavators and backhoe loaders two and a half years ago. The wide block-patterned single tire has since proven its worth in many kinds of excavating work, making it so popular that Nokian Tyres now extends the Ground Kare tire spectrum from both ends: size 600/50-22.5 for compact excavators and size 710/40-22.5 for the largest machinery.

New EU tire labels that make comparing tires easier will be introduced in May

Europe will be the first region in the world to start using an ice grip label for tires. In addition to this, tires will have a snow grip symbol and a QR code that lead to an extensive, European database. The change will become effective on May 1. The aim is for the new labels to help buyers compare different tires and guide them toward safer, eco-friendlier tire choices. As a winter tire pioneer, Nokian Tyres has been working for a long time to develop the labels. This work is now paying off.
