Bunge Limited (NYSE:BG) announced today that its Bunge Loders Croklaan JV has entered into an agreement to sell its refinery located in Rotterdam to Neste Corporation (NESTE.HE) for €258 million in cash, excluding working capital. Bunge will lease back the facility from Neste in a phased transition through 2024 so that it can continue to supply its customers with its products. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021, subject to regulatory approvals.
The Twin Rivers Unified School District near Sacramento achieved a major milestone in its climate action plan by switching 75 diesel-powered school buses to run on renewable diesel fuel provided by Neste. As a result, the district's fleet is now fully fossil free and one of the cleanest in the country. Because Neste MY Renewable Diesel is a drop-in fuel, Twin Rivers was able to achieve this remarkable milestone practically overnight.
Neste, the world's largest producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) made from waste and residue raw materials, is supplying Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and JetBlue Airways with sustainable aviation fuel for flights from San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The low-carbon and high-quality fuel will contribute to each airline's efforts to reach their climate goals.
