Hi guys, I am very new to this AMT-Free Muni Fund, the yield (tax free) on this NVG fund is very attractive at 4.78%. But then I searched the net expense ratio is almost 2% (1.98%), so does this mean the actual yield of this fund is 2.8%? (4.78% - 1.98%). If so that is significantly lower than it appears.

Can someone help me to confirm?

    Thank you!

This recent decline due to "Interest rate" scare was way overdone and turned into panic selling exacerbated by Wednesday's 800 pt Dow decline. I bought in Wednesday at 13.83. Never dreamed it would get as low as 13.68 today. But either way, 13.83 or 13.68, these are extreme downside outliers. The price is way below the lower Bollinger band. It is yielding 5.74 going forward with the 0.066 monthly dividend at the current price of $13.80. I think in three months people will be saying, "How could I have passed it up at any price below $14. I will probably add more once I can see the bottom is in and the 3 day EMA holds above te 20 day SMA.

Tempted to sell at these inflated prices, considering the NAV of these muni bonds stay relatively stable due to the distributions. However I think there will be 2 or 3 more rate cuts by the end of 2020, which means that I will probably hold on to my positionuntil 2Q 2020.

Many CEF muni investors, such as myself, have been selling their positions for the past two weeks. I sold my 3 funds including NVG for a few reasons: 1) The price of the shares was at a level never seen before and yielded a huge long term Cap Gain, 2) The spread between the NAV and the share price no longer equated to a value, 3) Interest rates were artificially dropping at a ridiculous pace. Once they vegan turning up a 38% leveraged fund becomes much riskier. It was time to cash in on the profits and wait for the day when again the discount to the NAV is back over 10%.

Anyone recall the conversion ration when Nuveen Municipal Opportunities Fund merged into Nuveen Dividend Advantage Municipal Income Fund before the first name change to Nuveen Enhanced AMT-Free Municipal Credit Opportunities Fund and then on 12/28/2016 name changed again to Nuveen AMT-Free Municipal Credit Income Fund?
