Massive vote of confidence with the various insider buys the last week. I think the market is beginning to wake up to the fact for their revenue and size, they are grossly undervalued when compared to their peers and even perhaps make sense as an acquisition or roll up from a competitor $ODFL $JBHT $SAIA $KNX $HTLD $SNDR
    Bullish

Look at the total volume, the share count here is relatively small, more so when you back out the US Treasury shares. For a hedge fund or someone to come in and build a position it takes a while and the sop up a lot of the shares. For example on a "heavy" trading day of 1M shares, that's only $14M worth of stock changing hands. I think funds are really starting to notice the value disconnect between YELL and peers like $ODFL $SNDR $KNX $SAIA $JBHT $WERN $ARBC $HTLD It's very easy to see when comparing revenue as YELL is the 2nd largest LTL carrier and many of these other companies have a lot less revenue, terminals, and assets. The market missed the value on YELL and you are seeing it start to catch up. The insider buys at these high levels, after the earnings blackout is also a good indicator of faith and value of the company too.

Has anyone looked the port backlog? It's at a record again. The more surprising thing is the ports are doing record throughput and volume, so it's a demand issue not necessarily that the ports have been slow. I think that bodes well for freight amongst all the trucking companies, whether it's YELL or $ODFL $SAIA $KNX $JBHT, although for revenue and potential YELL seems to be the best buy in the sector with low market cap compared to their revenue, so a long runway to really get a good return as they capitalize on the freight. Plus so many industries like automotive operating at a lower capacity, those will pick up, meaning a lot more freight needs to move too as they slowly clear the chip shortages and other material shortages too.

This is still way way undervalued, when you compare it to the revenue and the peers like $ODFL $SAIA $KNX $ARCB, plus now YELL shows they are profitable and beating by a wide margin. The One Yellow combination will also further drive EPS and gains. I like that management is focusing on profits and not taking on freight that has low margins. Seems like it's very well run, however the market hasn't caught up to the true value which should be $50-100 a share

This stock is a sleeper that no one ever seems to talk about. However, it’s up over 600% in the last 5 years. How awesome is that?

Record logjams at the ports, a lot of businesses I am coming across basically saying they are already sold of out production for all of 2022, so means heavy freight demand, plus these businesses will try to expand (if they can find labor and materials) and pump more product through at high prices. All bodes well for $YELL and other truckers like $KNX, $ODFL, $SAIA $JBHT

$ODFL blew their earnings out, should bode well for YELL reporting next week. Especially when you look at the market cap discrepency to revenue of both carriers, YELL seems like it has a long runway ahead for the stock price to go

Greg C. Gantt, President and Chief Executive Officer of Old Dominion, commented, "Old Dominion produced strong profitable growth for the third quarter of 2021 with results that include new Company records for revenue and profitability. The increase in quarterly revenue reflects the strength of the domestic economy and unprecedented demand for our best-in-class service. Our superior service offering and available network capacity are fundamental qualities that differentiate Old Dominion in the marketplace and support our ongoing ability to win market share.
"The Company’s revenue growth of 32.3% included a 15.7% increase in LTL revenue per hundredweight and a 13.7% increase in LTL tons. The increase in LTL tons was the result of a 19.4% increase in LTL shipments that was partially offset by a 4.8% decrease in LTL weight per shipment. The decrease in weight per shipment was primarily due to our continuing efforts to reduce the number of heavy-weighted shipments in our network to preserve capacity and improve our operating efficiency. These efforts, as well as the 0.8% increase in average length of haul, also had the effect of increasing our reported yield metrics. The 10.1% increase in LTL revenue per hundredweight, excluding fuel surcharges, reflects the changes in the mix of our freight as well as the success of our long-term pricing strategy that focuses on individual account profitability.
"Our operating ratio improved to a Company record of 72.6% for the third quarter of 2021. We improved many of our cost categories as a percent of revenue during the quarter due to the leverage created by our balanced revenue growth as well as improvements in our operating efficiency. Our operating supplies and expenses, however, increased as a percent of revenue due primarily to the significant increase in fuel prices. We also increased our use of purchased transportation during the third quarter to supplement the capacity of our workforce. The average number of full-time employees increased 20.9% as compared to the third quarter of 2020, and we intend to continue hiring additional employees during the fourth quarter to support our volume growth and reduce our reliance on purchased transportation."

ODFL is a good definition of a boring business that continues to reward long-term shareholders!!

Look at the numbers: ODFL and JB hunt are like making a lot more earnings and revenue, but their market caps are way way higher than yell. Apples to apples you feel like Yell is worth $30.

Get your paper out and make three columns and do the math for yourself: $ODFL, $JBHT, $YELL; Revenue, Earnings, Debt, Market Cap.
