  • Someone just told me this is the calm before the storm. Does anyone know people on the inside who can confirm this?
  • correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this CEO the highest paid since he is only part time? i thought he still has his other jobs. i can hardly believe he will be present at the Taj Mahal Mon-Fri.
  • Management sucks. Just keep issuing yourselves more share you pieces of garbage.
  • Fraud company. Stole my 8 grand
  • Do you really think this won't be red today. Hahaaaaaahaaaahaaaahhaaaaa
  • If I were the new CEO of Orion I would call Goldman Sachs and see if they would take my call because the company has such a low market cap, and ask if they could take on the the effort to sell Orion to some larger company. Goldman could put a lot of lipstick on this pig. The savings alone - no more Sarbanes Oxley, no more high priced executives, no need for a corporate office building, etc. - would make this company attractive. I would emphasize that Orion's products and innovative ability have been outstanding to take this old technology company into the LED market place and won quite a few major contracts with Fortune 500 companies. But the expense side of Orion is simply out of control.
  • Given what Sniperman said, I doubt this company can make it on its own. I previously thought Orion could be sold for $4.00 per share, but now think $2.50 per share may be generous. At that price, and as a division of a larger company where expenses could be cut drastically - no high priced management, BOD, consolidation of administration, etc. - such an acquisition by larger company could actually be accretive. Buyers at $1.35 still have a chance for a tidy profit if this happens, and as time goes on, the chances of it happening seem more probable. I'm going to buy some shares here just to keep my interest.
  • This stock sucks #$%$
  • Look at insider info. They just gave themselves 100,000 shares. Greedy pigs.
  • Company is a fraud
  • Read the earnings call transcripts and came away feeling the new CEO gets it. Cutting the fat starting with BOD and executive compensation sends the right message in a chronically under-performing business. Never would have happened under previous CEO who was more focused on his status, position, compensation and personal interests than the business. I wish the new CEO well and hope he proves to be the leadership needed and is uber successful.

That said there are still serious headwinds facing this company and, for the moment, do not share the optimism that this company will be at breakeven by fiscal Q4 2018. Waiting to see what the other cost reduction plans are, to see if the new sales structure can truly generate 10-15% more sales (at a reasonable margin) in a very competitive market and getting more competitive every day, who survives and/or is replaced in key positions (some others need to go) and can this company break the hell house culture that has existed through two CEO's now.

Sitting tight and trying to stay patient until the tea leaves provide something clearer.
  • Sale of Orion imminent? What's to sell? A Little company with few assets and little market share. Perhaps had management focused on the company rather than themselves things would be very different?
  • This company stinks on ice.
  • I fear the removal of Mr. Scribante was a grave error. Or at the very least the appointment of this newest CEO.
  • The CherMake brat fry better come up with some great improvement ideas this week !
  • Sad. This company could have been something. Now it is pure garbage.
  • This is not going to be bought out. Fact. It will go bye bye bankrupt. Fact.
  • How was Scribante's firing orchestrated? And by whom? Was he aware of his impending removal or was he surprised? Was he escorted from the building by security? Is Scribante planning a law suit against Orion? Is he starting his own lighting company?
  • Why is this going up.....must be some insider info out there?
  • Thoughts on release today?
