Paper prices are rising because of plant closures, ONP is subject to closures remember? What good does higher paper prices do for ONP when they're unable to operate?

Vivien, There is not much to discuss here on HLTH at this point until there is a buyout. I was trying to point peopl to a stock where there was a tremendous opportunity. If I got that tip I would have researched it. IICN is going to go to $2.00 in the next two weeks. I wiuld rather know that than sit here an twttle my thumbs waiting for Q3. IICN has tripled since I mentioned it here."

The troll has spent 7 years here making sure the 1 or 2 people that visit see his insults first. He watched IICN gain 15,000% year to date but was focused instead on giving himself 50 thumbs up and replying to himself 400 times. IICN is on the top of his radar yet he wathed ot double today while he hard his thumbs in his butt. He has smelly thumbs and I have twice my money."

Why doesn't 9 Dragons have a "going concern" warning from it's auditors while ONP's had one for 3 years? Why isn't Nine Dragons subject to mandated shut downs like ONP is?

Nine Dragons is one of ONP's competitors. Good news for them is good for ONP:
Market Buss reports - 09/12/17 "Nine Dragons Paper up 6% to HK$15.56, highest since 2008. Nomura increases target price to HK$19.00 from HK$12.80 earlier, reiterates Buy rating. "We revise up our FY18F earnings by 49% mainly due to much higher and faster-than-expected ex-factory price hikes over the past two weeks," Nomura says in note. House says that average selling prices have jumped much faster than OCC price increase. "Ex-factory prices have jumped by 1,400-1,500 yuan per ton thus far since June 2017, compared to 700 yuan per ton hike in China domestic OCC prices and 440 yuan per ton decline in international OCC prices," it says. Revises up cash margin spread forecast by 300 yuan per ton. "We are expecting more ASP hikes in 4Q17F, as we are entering the traditional peak season, and we believe that the hikes in ex-factory prices will be much higher than the hike in OCC prices."

Every time Invest 2015/2016/2017 flaps his gums, he manages to stick his foot into it. As we all know Tissue Paper is ONP's latest line, it's supposed to be "state of the art" it's supposed to be eco-friendly. Matter of fact it's located in a city several hour's drive from Hebei. DumbAsDungAt40 as well as invest 2015/2016/2017 have insisted that this "modern", supposedly all Natural Gas burning facility is immune to "government mandated shut downs".

Yet the FACTS show this is FAR from the TRUTH. Their BRAND NEW Tissue Facility was INDEED subject to mandated shut downs this most recent quarter. According to ONP ITSELF the latest quarter saw a MANDATED SHUT DOWN that was so SEVERE that it SLASHED their Tissue Sales by MORE THAN HALF. From ONP's latest Earnings Call Transcript "Turning to Slide 10. For the second quarter of 2017, tissue paper segment generated sales of $0.7 million, 51.5% from the same period last year. We shipped 568 tonnes tissue paper in the second quarter, decreased 52.4% from the same period last year."

Readers are URGED to IGNORE Invest 2015/2016/2017's continuous LIES. This PROVEN LOSER has owned this stock for more than THREE YEARS and YES he is STILL losing his STINKING SHIRT! LOL LOL LOL! LMFAO!

Invest 2015/2016/2017 is just a filthy liar, from ONP's latest earnings conference call "Our margins also deteriorated as a result of increases in unit costs of recycled paper board, recycled white scrap paper and COAL. That increased by 34%, 17.5% and 56.9% year-over-year, respectively."

"Due to heavy haze in North China, the government has temporarily restricted our production volumes since November 2016."

Truth is they're borrowing more money than ever before.

"Net cash provided by financing activities was $6.6 million for the first half of 2017 compared to $4.4 million for the same period of the prior year."

ONP's production is falling due to mandated closures, high product prices does nothing for a company when they're not allowed to produce. From ONP's latest earnings conference call....

    "Zhenyong Liu

Thank you, operator, and good morning, everyone. Thanks for joining our second quarter 2017 earnings conference call. Our second quarter results largely reflected the impact of government-mandated temporary restriction on production that has been in place since November 2016.

Total sales volume decreased by 42.5% to 55,069 tonnes, the lowest level since the first quarter of 2013, leading to a 40% decrease in total revenue in the second quarter. Our margins also deteriorated as a result of increases in unit costs of recycled paper board, recycled white scrap paper and coal. That increased by 34%, 17.5% and 56.9% year-over-year, respectively."

The only real question, is when will ONP go dark? ONP is just a shell of a company that was created to collect western capital and transfer it to HBOP. HBOP is the real company, and ONP shareholders do not own any part of HBOP. There are significant costs borne to continue to report to the SEC, but is that worth the cost now that the market has figured out what ONP really is? It is a worthless shell. Sell now before it is obvious that Liu is no longer willing to bear the cost of reporting.

How will China’s sweeping pollution crackdown affect its economy?
While an unprecedented assault on polluters has seen thousands of companies punished and plants shut down, the economic implications are just unfolding
    PUBLISHED : Thursday, 14 September, 2017, 10:30am
    UPDATED : Thursday, 14 September, 2017, 10:30am

"An unprecedented campaign against environmental pollution has led to 18,000 companies being punished across the country since last summer and more plant shutdowns. But the crackdown’s economic implications are just beginning to unfold.

While there’s no official data to measure the economic impact of Beijing’s drive for clean air and water, the government’s environmental campaign has become a key consideration in analysing China’s prices, employment, growth and economic structure, analysts said.

“This time China is very serious about environmental inspection,” Tianfeng Securities analysts led by Liu Yuhui, an economist with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, wrote in a note. “It will wield influence to the economy for a long term.”

“It will change the landscape of the economic structure with low-end polluted industries replaced by more environment friendly and higher-end industries,” Xu said.

Private and small businesses in China’s polluting sectors are bearing the brunt of the change."

OMG this sound really OMINOUS "Hebei is home to a quarter of national steel production and its cities will be forced to cut output by as much as 50 per cent over winter in a bid to reduce smog. Production of aluminium, glass and cement is also expected to take a big hit." and "China has promised to close twice as many factories and enforce bigger emission cuts in coming months in a bid to avoid a repeat of the near-record levels of choking smog that enveloped key northern regions at the start of the year."

ONP is still burning coal, let the truth be told, ONP simply can't afford to switch all their coal burners over the NG. Not to mention the fact that NG is far more expensive than Coal in China. Bag holders are strongly advised to sell before the fat lady starts singing! LOL LOL LOL! LMFAO!

Digital Photo paper is well on it's way to oblivion, smart phones with larger screens capable of storing and displaying thousands digital photos have rendered hard copy photos a thing of the past. ONP has lost nothing but money on DPP over the last many years, upgrading their DPP line will bring nothing but expenses and even larger losses going forward. There's NO FUTURE in DPP only a COMPLETE FKKKING MORON would suggest the DPP coming back into production is a great news. LOL LOL LOL! LMFAO!

Digital Photo Paper is coming back. That is great news. The world paper landscape is constantly changing. ONP has been very reactive and is constantly pivoting to change up their product offerings. They started with writing paper and even made thermal fax paper years ago. Cardboard boxes and tissue paper will both be around 100 years from now. Those two are now ONP's focus. As they switch from coal to Natural Gas they should've insulating them selves from further shutdowns.
