I see rough roads ahead for cloud stawks as and if user gouging becomes a big conversation thingy as companies further evaluate and dive deeper into what is needed and what they've been paying for due to the current climate. All JMO so take it with a grain and/or if you've been in this game long enough, by the sack.

Safra Katz says Oracle is going into a "Hyper Growth Phase" going forward with the new cloud contracts and Cerner. Yahoo earnings estimates place Oracle at a 12 forward PE because of the double digit earnings going forward. The stock is CHEAP!!

Sources with knowledge of the matter told The Information on Friday that Oracle considered cost reductions of over $1 billion that could result in thousands of layoffs as early as August.

According to the report, the move would affect mainly the US and European staff. In addition, units such as marketing for software applications and e-commerce functions would also be impacted, the sources added.
