The company responded to an inquiry and it was posted to stock twits. June 3rd was the date stocks included in the Russell rebalance were marked for addition/deletion. It appears the stock was pumped to be included and puked after it had been counted to be an addition.

"Thanks for reaching our and your support of Owlet. What we believe has been happening is related to OWLT being added to the Russell 3000 Index on Friday. We are hearing from various trading desks that trading activity ahead of the 6/24 reconstitution has begun which is causing today's stock pressure. Specifically, it appears that there was too much buying activity and those shares are being sold back into the market."

My wife convinced to buy one of these “security blanket” products for one of our kids. It never worked and never would have done anything had our baby stopped breathing. There is a reason why the FDA has never approved this.

    Why? FDA news?

Just basic SPAC corruption - too much money stolen in the listing process? Why are SPACs allowed?

No public news and drops 40% on big volume. Clearly no corruption to see here. move along regulators. Back to watching p0rn instead of doing your jobs.

A lot of cry babies because of mkt overreaction. There’s obvious demand for the product: otherwise they wouldn’t have beat Rev expectations. International growth is strong and not dependent on FDA

So, what is Owlet's plan? Get FDA approval? Go a different route? Where do we go from here?

Very soon OWLT can elect to do a cashless exercise of their warrants. Just needed 30 days post merger. Warrants be forced to a cashless exercise where .261 shares of OWLT stock will be given for each warrant. At 98 cents per warrant that implies that shares should be trading at about $3.75 each. One of these are mispriced in my opinion. My bet is that the warrants are undervalued.

“The Warning Letter asserts that the company’s marketing of its Owlet Smart Sock product (the “Smart Sock”) in the United States renders the Smart Sock a medical device requiring premarket clearance or approval from FDA, and that the company has not obtained such clearance or approval in violation of the Federal, Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act,” the filing says.

The Smart Sock, priced at $299, according to the company’s website, tracks a baby’s heart rate, oxygen levels and sleep trends.

“Among other things, the Warning Letter requests the Company cease commercial distribution of the Smart Sock for uses in measuring blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate where such metrics are intended to identify or diagnose desaturation and bradycardia using an alarm functionality to notify users that measurements are outside of preset values,” according to the filing.

Can't say where this will trade but it sounds like the Smart Sock will be pulled off the shelves for now. Revenue is going to take a big hit.

Dream sock plus. Not advertised for it but eventually every toddler/pre-k parent with an adhd kid (lots) will want one to screen for sleep apnea. It is so important to have things like this available.

This is my "very" speculative buy. Just got some call options and a few shares at 9.18. Always looking for that niche tech that hits an emerging market, with potential growth or acquisition. I would expect some big player to make the buyout within a couple of years of solid financials to prove out the business model. Or it could be junk. But consider this: they hint at the strong potential to prevent SIDS deaths and with families having fewer children, each one is all the more precious. How much does a few hundred bucks compare to preserving the life of that one child? I think I'd probably buy if I were propagating, but I think we have enough kids running around already.
