FYI - I finally found someone on Yahoo Finance that gets it. Look at his post:

    On $PAAS msg board:

Tsss…. you betray industry secrets. Small gold/silver miners are largely in business of mining investor pockets; mining gold or silver is an auxiliary process

They’re shuttering a nonprofitable mine. And pushing product to inventory. Which are 2 good moves to fight manipulation. You can’t build products which require silver using paper contracts.

They're a miner, they don't make widgets, so quarters like this happen. What's not excusable is why they didn't pre-announce. Investors can understand a bad quarter but if you don't let them know ahead of time, management loses credibility.

Pro Tip - We do not see this name below 12-handle which we indicated at 24 area!!! We got 16-handle!!!! Our shorting BAse at 34 area should cover at least 75% rught here!!! How did we know this one was a bad actor? ; )

MT called $PAAS a world class miner. It is down 20% since August 10th. How do the Alabama brothers keep claiming they are winning?

The best policy now, imho, would be waiting for the conference call transcript and reading through management excuses. If the reading looks awful, then one can consider exiting this position. We are in 2nd part of the year and tax-loss selling period is not too far anyway. Personally, I would like to read management excuses about delays in Colorada Skarn. If they drilled another ventilation hole in wrong direction, as they love to do, then maybe I will sell.

The CC was nothing to cheer about, hard to get excited about a company in this business if the management isn't fired up. Not a very exciting or optimistic conference.

If you cant make money with silver up here from what it was, when can you make money......? These mining companies are just cash burners..

    GOLD IS MONEY
Banana Republic = USA. Gold and Silver are still Constitutional money.

Perhaps, conference call this morning will add some details why and how it was possible to deliver these dismal numbers. Preliminarily speaking, it looks bad. It seems they wrote off Dolores mine, more or less. If it is confirmed, then the stock isolated status, as an option on Escobal re-opening, becomes even stronger pronounced. Hey, investors had PAASF for this purpose, and management, driving overall business into ground, no pun intended, is succeeding in making PAAS stock very similar, for investment purposes, to PAASF.

MT got crushed with $PAAS today and he calls it a world class miner. Newsflash: if the metals ever went to the moon, the mines in South America would be nationalized faster than Brandon forgets his name.

I remember posting on this board just a couple of weeks ago that PAAS was going to have a $19-handle, now it looks to be headed for a $9 handle....what a toad

Bad miss. I plan to hang on and ride this out. Silver will great in the long term. I don't buy this baloney that inflation has peaked and we are back to a bull market. Amazing everything looking awesome again right before midterms. Don't buy it. This was a big surprise miss.

Markus exactly it cost like 17,18$ to mine 1 oz of silver they’re only making money on the premiums. With gold its close to 1,000 per ounce they’re making a little money off that but good mining companies aren’t swimming on cash either
