Penske Automotive Group, Inc. Penske Automotive Group Inc. shares rose about 76% Wednesday, after the operator of commercial truck dealerships and parts maker topped earnings estimates for the fourth quarter. Bloomfield Hills, Michigan-based Penske said it had net income of $101.6 million, or $1.25 a share, in the quarter, up from $98.1 million, or $1.16 a share, in the year-earlier period. Revenue rose to $5.881 billion from $5.439 billion. The FactSet consensus was for EPS of $1.21 and revenue of $5.783 billion. Same-store retail automotive revenue rose 5.5%, above the 5.1% FactSet consensus. CFRA analyst Garrett Nelson maintained his hold opinion on the stock but raised his 12-month price target to $53 from $50. "Management said it is encouraged with improved business conditions in the U.K., including a stronger order environment following the completion of Brexit in late January," he wrote in a note to clients. Shares have gained 5% in the last 12 months, while the S&P 500 has gained 22%.
