Received my proxy statement on the additional shares yesterday. Voting yes.

I see there are a number of businesses beaten down by the pandemic & raising additional funds through selling equity beats taking on debt.

I have seen a couple of posts here about a "vote" issue. I own many thousands of shares of PSEC for many years and I have seen nothing or received anything from company or broker concerning a vote. Can anyone elaborate?

Just submitted my NO vote. A lot of good that will do.

New to this but where do dividends go to? Back to the brokerage account? I assume you cannot get it reinvested automatically.

Let’s not make fun of the new Reddit/Robinhood players. Let’s face it: their addition as PSEC stockholders on helps the longd. I’ve been in since ‘13 and made a lot of 1099 dough. My average cost is $7.50, so I had a substantial unrealized loss for a long time. I didn’t panic. Stayed the course , and now it has paid off. Welcome ALL new PSEC investors! Longs, try not to bash those that do not understand mechanics of BDCs. Good luck, and enjoy the weekend!

Just reinvested my preferred dividend in the common.

The preferred shares have voting rights!

Does Fidelity offer the 5% dividend drip discount like DTC’s dividend reinvestment service does?

I've read on the Prospect Capital Corp web site that some brokerages wont honor the 5%.

Added a few more shares @ $7.65. Still like the low beta but the daily swings are growing in width.

Based on today's closing price of $7.79, investors enrolled in PSEC's "DRIP through DTC program" should expect to see shares accrued at a price of $7.40 (95% of $7.79) for the March dividend. If you see anything other than $7.40 on your brokerage statement, it's incorrect and you should request a correction. Good luck!

    Everybody.

I’ve received 9 down votes for suggesting Pete hold off investing until he understands what Prospect Capital does as a business. Buying and selling notes of debt is a key concept.

I simply don’t understand why that comment is unwarranted.

Admittedly not everyone got a “stock market” class in high school. But this is real money.

Does everyone else just view the market as a giant roulette wheel where you place your chips without knowing or caring about the underlying business. Do you but PSEC because you’re a football conference fan?

Can anyone say what your DRIP price was this last month. I am with TDA, and they are swearing the $7.32/share I paid includes the discount. By my calculations, the highest I should have paid was $7.10 based on the daily range
