Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") has completed a periodic review of the ratings of PIMCO Corporate & Income Strategy Fund and other ratings that are associated with the same analytical unit. The review was conducted through a portfolio review in which Moody's reassessed the appropriateness of the ratings in the context of the relevant principal methodology(ies), recent developments, and a comparison of the financial and operating profile to similarly rated peers. This publication does not announce a credit rating action and is not an indication of whether or not a credit rating action is likely in the near future.
NEW YORK, Jan. 02, 2019 -- The Boards of Trustees/Directors of the PIMCO closed-end funds (each, a “Fund” and, collectively, the “Funds”) have declared a monthly distribution.
Under normal market conditions, the Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its net assets plus borrowings for investment purposes in a combination of corporate debt obligations of varying maturities, other corporate income-producing securities, and income-producing securities of non-corporate issuers, such as U.S. Government securities, municipal securities and mortgage-backed and other asset-backed securities issued on a public or private basis (the “Amended Policy”).
The Board of Trustees/Directors of the PIMCO closed-end funds (each, a “Fund” and, collectively, the “Funds”) has declared a special year-end distribution for certain Fund’s common shares as summarized below. In addition to the regular monthly dividend, this special year-end distribution is being paid to allow the Funds to meet their 2018 distribution requirements for federal excise tax purposes. Distributions may include ordinary income, net capital gains and/or returns of capital.
