    Hoping for an activist investor.

Not much happening with this company.
Even though still rather small both market cap and revenue wise no growth at all. And this despite the two new products hyped by management.
Management doesn't even have any skin in the game. They hardly hold any shares. And those probably came via vested options. They don't even buy at these historic lows.
Also hardly any use is made of the funds to buy back shares.
Management can not even properly calculate Enterprise Value. In a recent presentation they included the cash that the company is just holding for their business partners but under obligation to pay in the near future.

In the case of Coinmaster/redbox activist investors were able to create value for shareholders.
    Something needs to happen.

On Thursday at the Southwest IDEAS Investor Conference Points President Chris Barnard said
"Q4 will be..if not a record quarter for us across the board, pretty close in terms of every important financial metric."
He also encouraged people to look at their numbers on an annual basis.
And not react to the quarterly swings.
Barnard was asked why EBIDTA will be flat this year. He commented:
"investment in the platform has ramped up expenses compared to last year...and some of the high margin revenue from the Points travel business as well as some of those retail programs that we were expecting to come in this year expect that now to start hitting into next year."

Below is the link to the program that Points was supposed to launch last quarter between Sam's Club and American Airlines. New members of Sam's Club were to receive AA miles on their purchases.

It got delayed and that hurt the EPS for the quarter. But this is something that can be accretive to earnings in 2017. And this is just one example of this kind of opportunity in the retail space. If they are able to get this deal done...then it can be a domino effect and Costco and BJ's and others could step up and do similar deals with Points. This is just an example of how Points can be a dominant player in the retail space going forward - especially once digital wallets are used in everyday purchases by the masses.

What is the state of the MasterCard deal?
It sounded really promising and made sense.
I guess, there are many banks that issue MasterCard creditcards and don't have any loyalty programs.
To set one up themselves woud be prohibitively expensive.
But if Points offered a turnkey solution that can be designed in the individual banks design, 'look and feel', it should be very interesting.
Is this dead or are they still in contact with MasterCard?

Amazing how the volume has held up since earnings. Click on historical data. Almost every day 150,000 shares Go back a few months and that was almost the weekly volume. Somebody is piling in and there is not a whole lot of shares floating around

In terms of Points Travel, you can't look at it like a Rocketmiles or booking.com. The advantage that Points Travel has is that the transactions are done on the specific loyalty program's website. The user probably doesn't even realize that Points Travel is involved. So in the case of Lufthansa's Miles and More program, the user uses the link below as Miles & More implements the Points Travel platform into their site.
    https://www.miles-and-more.com/online/portal/mam/rowr/earn/hotel/hotel_platform?l=en&cid=10001

The loyalty program (whether it's this one or if it's Delta, United, etc.) can provide all the marketing to their hundreds of thousands of users. This is a lot different from the OTAs who have to spend all their money in marketing which hurts their ability in terms of pricing. It's going to take some time but it should be a tremendous source of gross profit going forward.
So just a great way for the user to earn and burn points.

What happened to the shares yesterday? Fell off a cliff. Did an investor try using the loyalty wallet?
