Adding a little today have not added since last October. Wasn't really trying to time anything just figured if a dip came along why not. Position is small so room to add more if yield goes up :) Happy to hold forever.

Welcome to overreaction city - population……PG.

Typical overreaction, but I welcome this opportunity. I started buying PG in my mid 20s, and continued buying throughout the decades, during the dips and market corrections, and I'm now retired in my 70s. I have been through it all, and I have seen multiple market corrections and overreactions to this stock. I remember being told long ago to buy the dot.coms, buy tech stocks, buy chips, etc. and don't be a fool buying a stodgy stock like PG. Well, I stayed the course and stuck with PG as my primary holding. Without a doubt PG is a rock, and I will once again add to my position. Sleep well everyone, I do!

I used to think P&G was a good investment because people will always buy soap. Well I just got back from San Francisco and L.A and I was wrong.

Raises prices 8% but only 3% gain and announces next year only 2%, I don’t know how this economy is going to improve if consumables are lacking. Bidets may be getting popular after all.

Expecting P&G to meet and slightly exceed expectations on the 29th. but the strength of the US dollar has got to hurt all multi nationals.

Everyone says no matter how the economy is doing, people will always need soap and toilet paper. Problem is that when money gets tight people go the no name brands. I hold P&G but have been buying the cheaper brands. Same with Clorox. Look at the price of bleach. I buy the cheaper brand. The strong dollar also puts a big dent into earnings. Had P&G since the 1970’s. A lot of family worked there. Sure it’s safe, but not a long term investment. When the big growth Companies take a hit P&G holds up better. That’s when you sell P&G and rotate into let’s say tech.

Earnings whisper is $1.28 and revenue of 19.4 Billion. Hope we get good forward guidance especially with
    strength of US dollar.
