    How a $28M sale by PGT will impact the company’s workers

    About 160 workers at PGT Innovations Inc. will have new job responsibilities, following the sale of some PGT assets to Cardinal Glass industries. Reallocating the employees should help PGT (PGTI) alleviate employment constraints it has experienced periodically due to a tight labor market in the Venice area, the company said in a news release . PGT, headquartered in North Venice and with about 2,800 employees statewide, is the largest employer in Sarasota County.
