Don’t sell your shares below 140 people! So many gyms are out of business and so many new subscribers will opt for planet fitness after they compare against LA fitness, crunch, blink, equinox, orange theory

I might be one of the only people on this board saying they are going to do well long term and take market share. Ops are excellent and still expanding worldwide.

Motley Fool Rule Breakers recommended this stock around 11am today. That's partly why there is a bump today. I think it makes sense though, once COVID is over, they are due for a comeback.

How does something like Planet Fitness can be nearly all time high when it is losing money, and there is no way gyms are coming back to their full pre-pandemic prime!? Who in right mind would go to this petri dishes when you can have peloton or any peloton copycat? Planet Fitness is nothing but an accounting scam, which have transferred all the real estate emptied out by retail apocalypse to the new accounting book. Who are they going to transfer this too?

I checked out LA fitness in Cali and had to walk out. I came to the realization the planet fitness equipment is better designed and much much better maintained. Oh and dues are better at planet anyway. Clearly planet is the better option. Had to go back long today.. bought 128shares will sell when this is in the 130s

I don’t know why anyone would want to sell now, all stores are open generating cash, lots of cash. Much better to go to a large gym like PF than some small one right now where space may be a problem. In 2 months everyone that wants a vaccine shot will have one.

How do you pay rents for a year with no income. These franchises members are desperate to open but faces high debt and limited capacity to gain profitability... might be a short candidate here.

PLNT has double, triple, quadruple-downed on in-gym workouts being the future. Meanwhile, they're getting dominated in the real fitness future...virtual fitness. Peloton, BeachBody, Echelon, and even Apple are doing it right.

Weight training is the only advantage physical gyms have over the companies listed above. Out of the 16% of Americans that have gym memberships, only about 8-9% of Americans do some kind of weight training. How long until the other 8% non-lifters realize they can cancel their membership and workout in the comforts of their own homes with a professional trainer? Trust me, the vast majority of America would pay a premium to workout in private.

Gyms are like movie theaters...outdated. Yeah, I'm talking to you $AMC $IMAX

Google trends shows a big spike in searches for "cancel Planet Fitness" in California.

This is what happens when you don't let people cancel over the phone during an extended closure. They just cancel when you re-open.

Reports of increased traffic are a red herring, btw. Of course the super active gym members who kept their memberships are going to use them. The question is whether or not they will be able to get the critical "pays but never goes" crowd back.

Earnings call sounds generally very positive for long term. More market share as industry consolidates. New owners should get favorable real estate which is there number 1 expense. Should be a big 2021-2022

Stocks are always forward looking. With that said, PLNT will be a $200 stock once everyone has been vaccinated and people want to be out in the gym (sometime in 2022). Working out at home is not very fun, unless you're wealthy and have a lot of money to blow at once on PTON and etc. PLNT fitness isn't competing with them. Their customers are the lower middle class that want to be at the gym and have access to all of those machines and fair price. NO other gym can compare to their pricing. SO, with that said, buy it while it's cheap. If you've never been to PLNT gym, then you don't know what you're talking about when you say the stock is a $25 stock. SMH
