Pittsburgh’s biggest bank is shuttering another local branch, something that’s happened dozens of times within the past few years. The PNC Park branch at 10 Federal Street is closing, according to a filing by PNC Financial Services Group Inc. (NYSE:PNC) with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. “We understand that the Pirates would like to use the space currently occupied by PNC’s branch at PNC Park for a future ballpark enhancement project; therefore, we made the decision to consolidate the branch with our Three PNC Plaza branch,” PNC said via email on Thursday.
Designers have unveiled a dramatic reimagining of PNC Arena in Raleigh as the push to upgrade the venue gains momentum.
Economists at Pittsburgh’s biggest bank forecast slower growth over the next few years, but no recession in 2022, though the likelihood rises in 2023 and 2024. PNC Financial Services Group Inc. released its monthly outlook on the national economy Wednesday. It cited the “very strong” labor market as the best indication that a recession won’t occur this year, along with solid consumer fundamentals.
