This cashcow belongs in the $14-15 region (for now). Just a matter of time.

has anyone seen when they report? my broker ibk keeps emailing me the wrong days. apparently they didn't get the memo that prdo changed the calendar this year.

I'm not seeing the justification for a descending line on the price. This is reminding me of a recent experience I had with COST. The stock was dropping for months even though the company is strong and has a bright future. Then it turns around and starts climbing, pausing momentarily at the resistance when then breaking through to new heights. When I see a P/E of 6 for a company that is growing, I see a BUY.

Another 52 week low. Being a share holder it’s not a feel good feeling.

Nice little acquisition. Hippo education should add a nice little pop to revenue.

Thanks for all the info on this board. Guess we are looking at prdo’s cash of over $500 million presently and only a $760 million market cap and decent consistent profits and we are all just scratching our heads. I’m buying this stock. Sticks out like a sore thumb. Probably gonna buy some LINC too for good measure

It’s impressive that there are 4.6 million shares short in PRDO. Seems to only trade a few hundred thousand shares a day. Can’t figure out why so many shares are short but heck there may come a time these shorties are falling over each other trying to get out

Nice bounce off the lows today in an otherwise #$%$ tape. I?d imagine these shorties have to be assessing whether it makes sense to be so short at $10 and change on PRDO

Looking at the long term chart and looking at the financials... this looks like a great time to buy. It's back-to-school time!

The financials of the company look amazing. I am not sure though how fast they can grow. Can anyone shed some light on this?

this reminds me of when Obama care was coming. everyone fled the health insurance companies. it was a huge opportunity. this company is fundamentally strong. just fear of regulation holding it back.

I spent a good 30 minutes looking at PRDO as it's impressive financials only to then find out about it's run in with FTC back in 2019...

the ITT loan forgiveness. is really hurting the price I suspect. Yet the forgiveness is on the lien holder. It shouldn't affect the revenue unless they decide to fine a company. which i haven't seen at all. have any of you seen a court case suggesting otherwise?

Question on the borrowers defense to repayment. So it appears this is really on outstanding loan balances. Appears that $44M is outstanding for the company and some of this they were never going to collect anyway (defaults). Is it fair to say the worst case scenario is losing $44M? I do read in their SEC filings and latest quarter about really old claims so maybe students who already paid can try to get money back, but it doesn’t seem that way. It’s mostly just about canceling debt.

    Thoughts?

What will it take to move this company up? It has over $6 of cash / share and appears to generate >> $1 to $1.5 a year of cash. It’s so cheap that even if it’s cash flow were halved it would still be buy.

Have I got this right? $850m market cap, $464m of cash (after the acquisition). $165m of expected earnings this year (lower end of range). So if this company distributes all of it’s cash we are left with $386m of equity, or 2.4x earnings (which unusually is also cash). Put another way, in roughly two to three years the full current market cap could be covered by cash. Agreed - they need to start purchasing shares in earnest.

Strangely, I think the market isn’t seeing their cash.

They made an acquisition. 16 million dollars worth. Good reviews. IT related.
Good conservative inexpensive yet quality purchase. I agree with it.

It looks like I’ve been wrong about the share buy backs. Earnings call: “during the quarter, we repurchased approximately 440,000 shares” (Ashish Ghia -- Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer).
