$50M deal done: Cold-Eeze has a new owner

The Cold-Eeze brand of products for cold sufferers can no longer be listed among the nationally sold consumer products owned by a Philadelphia-area company. ProPhase Labs (PRPH) completed its previously announced $50 million sale of the Cold-Eeze brand to Mylan after its shareholders approved the transaction Wednesday during a special meeting. Cold-Eeze, first formulated as a zinc lozenge, expanded over the years into a variety of formulation consisting of gummies, oral sprays, caplets, QuickMelts and an oral liquid.
