On June 28, Basel III takes effect. In a nutshell Gold will be used by Central Banks to eliminate their debt. I am pretty sure you know what that means to the Gold / Silver Prices. They will revalue the Gold price to manage their debt. The debt is unfathomable... and Gold will be revalued to the thousands. IMO
What do you think will happen to the price of PVG when that occurs? 11's? lol 50's? lol
PVG will be skybound and rightfully so. Just ask yourself, when Gold is 5k 6k or higher.. where do you think PVG would be? Amazing opportunity. IMO

PVG sticks real close to home with their mining. Same with their exploration efforts. And, PVG says little about what's going on with their overall business. Most sizable mining companies seem to be busy in several mines and have a fair number of PR's about their efforts. I'm guessing PVG's BruceJack mine, rarely talked about, is actually one of the best gold mines in North America. High gold content per ton, and a very long life. Too much talk/notoriety, and PVG would be bought-out with expensive shares of a much bigger company. Prefer that comes later. I'll Hold.

Keep watching that $11.70 level as once it's overcome on a weekly closing basis, PVG will surge into the $13s before any pullback. And again, a monthly close solidly over $13 will open the door to a blastoff to the low $20s. That probably won't start until later in the summer though ; )

Expansion results look to be dribbling in just prior to release of 1st Q results. A good PR move, IMO. Move every oz possible in to "proven" reserves BEFORE take-over interest kicks in.

An email exchange with Pretium Resources IR indicates a positive note that should be broadcast to current and potential investors. They are currently constructing their own assay lab, which will dramatically increase drill results. IR expressed agreement that expansion drill results were likely the primary way to increase actual and perceived value of the company. They are budgeting more money for this purpose than at any time in their history. However, a greater amount of this year's budget is on exploration. I would like to see the ratio flip because "real" value, PROVEN reserves, will correlate directly to stock price reflecting such value. This exact point was expressed on another communication with IR.

The point being made here is PVG is not being promoted by management anywhere near to the degree it could be. Whatever you think about the CEO of 1st Majestic people like Rick Rule shake their head in admiration in the PR job he does in promoting that stock for shareholders. Does Pretium management prioritize shareholder value or creating it for their own benefit? Pier Laassonde stated "A hostile take over means management is not doing their job, that of building shareholder value". He went on to say too many management teams are focused on building value for themselves rather than shareholders. The video is published here should you want exact comments.

What's that old saying "If you can stand up for what's right...sit with the consequences"?

Yup, fake bear raid. The problem for bears now is the huge bullish reversal candle, if it holds here or higher. That, in addition to the 5 point weekly closing downtrend line going back to September is now being slammed against for a month straight. A weekly close on Friday solidly above $11.20 clears that line. A weekly close over $11.70 solidifies this further. Btw, at this rate, PVG will be debt free by the end of the first quarter 2022, which is less than a year away. It will be a cash cow at that point, coupled with great drilling results = major takeover target.

Soaring copper prices = load up RMES while shares still cheap. Undiscovered 40 cent RMES shares could be trading well over $5 soon.

Weekly close over $11.70 invites $13+ quickly. Monthly close solidly over $13 brings the low $20s into play.

That's 6 days now over the 50 dma in GDX and sitting right at the 8 month long upper parallel channel downtrend line. This, in conjugation with a long term MACD crossover about to happen is not good if you're a bear. The last 3 instances of MACD crossover on the long term chart since late 2018 produced an avg. return of around 50% over an average of 4 months. NEM, PVG, AGI, GOLD, GDX and a few others stopped right at key resistance levels and when they break through, algos will be forced to flip from short to long, adding fuel to the fire.

The past 2 weeks have been a clustering at the downtrend line going back to September and today's close is the first weekly close over that line. Also, there's an inverse head and shoulders pattern going back to January, which is incredibly bullish, in addition to the much larger one. A close over $11.60 opens the door for the $13s rapidly. A monthly close solidly over $13 will mark the next leg up.

I have to admit, I cut my position in half today, at the bottom. Still a profit, but shorted my self some bills.

Growing discomfort with PVG in regard to building company/shareholder value. PVG is a prime takeover target that is significantly under priced to real value, IMO.

A discussion with Investor Relations clarified a major point of understanding the type of drilling, at least the word for it, that creates value. That word is "expansion" as in expansion drilling. Exploration drilling does not add to proven reserves, which is the cornerstone of value in mining stocks. Again, IMO, far more assets should be focused on expansion drilling than exploration. An email to that effect was sent along with a video clip where Rick Rule took mine managers to task for taking care of themselves rather than focusing on shareholder value.

Informing shareholders and the public with press releases should be a part of the building awareness of value idea. As the IR rep told me on the phone the higher the company price at takeover the bigger payoff for investors.

    For what its' worth.

Financially, everybody with a microphone says, "we know where the country is headed financially." The problem is our geniuses say, UP but others, say DOWN. Inflation, deflation, or stagflation? All investors should be Holding some gold stocks. Split your 5 or 10% holding into 2 or 3 different gold companies. Pretium should one of them. (My opinion) You might say ... Pretium is sitting on a gold mine. Figuratively, and literally speaking.

Consolidation in the mining industry has to be coming soon. Some of the bigger players are net debt free. This week a lot of Jan 2022 20 strike calls were bought. Is that to hedge a short that far out of the money or a real long bet? Should you sell a covered call?
