What makes anyone thinks that QD is repurchasing stocks? The Average daily volume of QD is around 4M (thanks to that massive July 18th 114+M bump), therefore QD should be able to repurchase about 1M stock daily (25% of daily Avg). From the daily avg volume over the past month, there is really no indication of any consistent stock buyback occuring, still there are some that will claim with certainty that QD is buying back stock, as they have done in the past and it turned out not to be so. Maybe they are always just hoping that Lou Min will deliver for them.

QD looks like it is about to drop. Be careful guys. I have been reading (http://Achieverspot.tech) and their stocks have been doing way better.

A bit surprised to see that only 4.7M shares shorted as of 1 August. I thought it was way more !

As of July 29, 4.7M shares shorted. How long will it take to cover all in such a low volume

If the lending business is not their cup of tea anymore why not sell the platform and it's debts for a cash out deal and be completely liquid? If you're not a FinTech then stop pretending to be one, man up and show some bulls you got some balls!!!??? We going to wait another 4 months for news while millions in cash walk out the door??

Min Luo seems mainly interested in the net assets per share. These have increased over the last few years and with share buybacks should reach $12 per share. With that whether the food business works or doesn't is really irrelevant

    $2.30 by next ER.

In particular, on July 17, 2022, QD Food hosted the "717 Foodies Festival," a livestreaming event on Douyin featuring CEO Min Luo introducing QD Food's products to millions of viewers, whose sparkling performance fueled sales of a total of approximately 9.56 million dishes [1]. The event was ranked No. 1 on Douyin for over 10 hours during the livestreaming

Assets per share have consistently risen over time. Seems to me that this is Min Luo's game. With buybacks assets per share could rise to $12. Seems this will have to be reflected in price eventually

Food business is officially dead after CEO Min Luo closes his douyin account which he just spent $200 million for promotion 3 weeks ago. What a waste!

I think this stock will again cross $2 level before next earnings release that is expected to be announced in September.

So will be interesting to see how this develops. So far they have 3000 pple applying to have a business presumably selling this food. They did testing in one region first before going countrywide so must be reasonably confident pple will rebuy. The food dishes have very good feedback online. I think I'd buy it if I were in China - easy to prepare, cheap and healthy. The prepared veg sector is destined to be worth a trillion in a few years so they don't need much of that for success, and they reached 7 percent of China in one day. I don't think this will be an overnight success but I think they might make a huge success over the next year if they carry on like this

I had such high hopes then the stock gets gutted, no support at any DMA and looking primed for a big deep saucer before flatlining.

They have zero mention of QFoods on their corporate website, there is no QFoods website, Tik Tok is all they got? I was expecting far more than “what we did” - not an ounce of evidence, no links to video, website, menu, fotos of food preparation facilities - nothing substantiative - very disappointing
and for a big time rich big shot his website looks like something a student put online - it’s amateur hours in China

Interestingly despite what Spider says there is a lot of positive feedback from those who have tasted QDs food. So the food might do well. But for now my main interest is the share buy back. $200m share buy back is a billion dollars profit at least for remaining shareholders - every share bought is a $6 profit at current prices.
