Something isnt right here !!! Based on the balance sheet this is a screaming buy (supposed cash position is huge) and yet no one wants the stock ipso facto the balance sheet must be a lie !! Any other explanation??

The company has deleveraged the loans and credit business and as a result is sitting on massive cash position. While they build up Wanlimu kids centres I think a lot of value can also come from buyback of shares at these dirt cheap prices. Why company is not opting that option is a bit disappointing. Otherwise it was a wise move to deleverage a business that was carrying regulatory and delinquency risks.

I think I'll just sell my position with the 20% loss that I currently have. This is not the smartest investment that I've made. Basically I got talked into it, without doing the proper research. I thought I was investing in Chinese fintech, but they're decreasing their loans and invest in some pretty dubious projects.

I think I'll sell now and invest in a more sound company with tremendous upside such as Ali Baba. I expect to make up for that 20% loss in a relatively short period.

    Good luck to you all.

QD is a money making business only trading at a cheese burger price. It is priced wrong !
I guess the best move is sell out the business to New Generation company for $10/share and lets bring some new idea to the business.

Chinese FinTech stocks drop significant today, $TIGR -22.5%, $FUTU -12%, $QFIN -8.4%, $FINV -7.3%, $LX -5.3%, but there is one Chinese FinTech stock only drops 1.2%, which is $QD, this explains all, you know what I mean, you should buy QD now to enjoy the potential 600% rise of QD.

Did they ever show a loss on their investment in Secoo?
    A 100M US$ investment for a price of $4,90 per stock.
Stock price Secoo is now $ 1,24.

Strange that their accountant accepts this?

    QD has $6 cash per share and profitable, the stock price is only $1.6, this is golden mine, will rise at least 500% in a year. $TIGR, $FUTU, $QFIN, $FINV, $LX, $GME, $TSLA, $NIO, $F, $BABA, $GE can't have a similar profit.

Given the fact that China is in the middle (or at the beginning) of substantial financial turmoil, I believe that for QD the price has significant downside and little upside for the immediate future. First of all, their revenues are declining with no signs as of yet of increases with little info on their new venture. More worryingly, many investors look at QD as a value play because of their strong balance sheet, but is it really that strong? The bulk of their current assets are in "short-term investments," which the 2020 annual report describes as "wealth management products." Who, in the passed weeks, has been exposed as using the wealth managements product strategy as basically a ponzi scheme? Evergrande, and a few other big Chinese firms. I have no confidence in these assets. I don't think institutional investors will either, unless some great news comes out of China. This means I would not think it unfair for QD to trade around about their net cash per share which currently sits at $0.79. Thats a 45% drop from current prices. Check out Patrick Boyle's latest video for more detail on wealth management products in China and how much of a scam they are.

The bear arguments here seem to be that it's gone down so must continue and must be rubbish. I'd disagree though because I think about fundamentals rather than this being a trading stanp. If this company closed down all operations and just bought back shares, you'd get 5 times your money back as that's how much more net assets are per share than the share price. If it just does half the business it's doing, you'll still get a phenomenal return of 30% a year. The only issue here is China is unfashionable for now. However, I believe that despite it's Communist name, it is the greatest capitalist nation on earth. Regulations, taxes and restrictions on starting a business are far better than the USA, as are labor laws. The govt believes in business. Recently they've brought in some regulations but they're the type the US govt probably would have brought in - they're not anti business so much as pro social harmony. Kids totally addicted to games online? Restrict them to 3 hours! You find me an American parent who doesn't think that's a good idea. One big company is restricting their customers from advertising elsewhere? Fine them for monopolistic practices. These are not about business being bad. The Chinese govt has created more wealth for its citizens in a shorter period of time than any other country ever. But Chinese shares are down 25% when the US market is up 25%. They're basically at least half price, or more in the case of QD. Value is always a contrarian play. You're wrong until you're right, rather than going with the crowd which means you're right until you're wrong. I've bought more despite being down as I think sooner or later people will realised the world's second largest economy is bit disappearing. I guess we will see.
