recession? who cares. looking rich is an addiction to some people. regardless, they will continue to buy luxury items used or new

If we go into a recession how many people are going to be buying luxury goods? Otherwise the valuation is not bad at this point.

Think about how valuable the marketplace alone is in this day in age of ecommerce. Not only for the large brands like Gucci etc., but for smaller newer brands. Imagine if you're Gucci and want to expand your brand base even further. You sell items or partner with the REALREAL which has 27 million members. Somebody that has never bought a Gucci item scrolls on the REALREAL one day and sees something they really like. They order it, now they are a Gucci customer forever. It's like eBay. Ebay partners and allows big brands like Home Depot, Apple etc. to sell on their platform. As for a smaller brand, is it really worth it to spend on crazy marketing, or would you rather just partner with a marketplace and instantly get Infront of 27 million people and grow your brand that way. REALREAL has clear value in the marketplace because it's a marketplace full of people looking for things consistently, filled with thousands of different brands. They need to start making even more partnerships.

From 22.83 to 2.23 in less in a matter of months! When a stock is pumped repeatedly on CNBC/FOX business, stay away. I bought this GEM at 2.70 and sold at 2.48. Where are the 2-bit, paid, peon pumpers? PUMP all you want, and which you will until this GEM among GARBAGE is OTC/BANKRUPT. If Walmart/Target can't get rid of inventory. How the #$%$.. will this peon stock survive?

Fill her car's gas tank, or buy another Gucci bag, (which may, or may not be genuine)?
That is the choice the typical RealReal customer will be facing.

Shortly after The RealReal went public two years ago, CNBC revealed the company often did not verify items despite pledges to do so. When it did, it used low-wage hourly employees who received at most a few hours in training to conduct authentications. Not only was the company sued by Chanel, but by its own investors as well.

    For Cade:

    Profitability
    Profit Margin -46.07%
    Operating Margin (ttm) -39.85%
    Management Effectiveness
    Return on Assets (ttm) -16.79%
    Return on Equity (ttm) -337.90%

This business had a market cap of 2 billion at the end of Q1 2021. Now it's 281 million.
Cash is dwindling. I see the biggest problem as their headcount. Why does a company with these puny revenues need over 3000 employees? I doubt very much that they make to year end.
