It looks like spirit will be the winner post pandemic. We all know business travel will be down and leisure will skyrocket. Spirit is the low cost provider and will be back ahead of the majors that rely on business travelers.

There is a reason $36 was my target to evaluate. Now the hard part starts where it may wait for fundamental to catch up to the stock price. Still a leg up to the low $40s but that's about it.
Same thing with PLAY which moved from the low teen to now low $40.
UAL and AAL are still the airline with big move up to near their pre-covid level... UAL has room to grow to $60 then $80s. AAL accumulated more debt than any other airline during the pandemic so it may have room to mid $20s...
Overall, restaurant, airlines and hotels are done wit their run up, being at near or in some case over their pre-pandemic stock price... The only sector left are Cruise line where the added debt and still uncertainty is real. They still have the most gain, especially NCLH and CCL.
My recommendation at this time are UAL, AAL, NCLH and CCL for high percentage gain by summer.

$SAVE Valuations remain steep, especially for low-cost domestic carriers that are benefiting most from the recovery. According to Linenberg, carriers like Spirit Airlines (SAVE), Allegiant Travel (ALGT)e argues that valuations always look extreme in the early stages of a recovery. Investors tend to focus on metrics such as rebounding flight capacity, passenger volumes, cost controls, and cash generation. The sector could start to attract more investors as the fundamentals improve. And the stocks should eventually price in earnings growth and balance-sheet deleveraging, which he says should be "unprecedented" in this cycle. But investors shouldn't expect big gains at this juncture. Most of Linenberg's price targets are less than 20% above the stocks' recent prices. He sees Spirit hitting $44, up from recent prices around $37.

WoospB this should help. Couldn’t print slide. But it’s out there

Aug 21, 2020 — Low fuel costs and strong balance sheet aids Spirit Airlines (SAVE). ... The Air EV , which the company says can do more than 500 miles on a single ... it has hedged or “locked in 75% of forecasted volumes for 2021” (Slide 21).

J&J vaccine approved for emergency use and $1.9 trillion stimulus approved. Monday should bring a nice pop to the travel sector. Let's see how long that excitement last?????

I don’t know if to hold. It’s back to pre-pandemic price. I feel I should get out. I’ve been holding it for 6 months now, so nice profit. Can any other long term investor weigh in please?

Thank you for getting the price below 35$. I am so exited that I won’t lose my cover calls on 3/19. After that I am going to sell cover calls at 40$-45$ depend on how much premium I get from it. Free money is the best.

That pop sure didn’t last long. Not a good sign for SAVE considering all the good news that’s out and the market doing so well.

J&J vaccine approved for emergency use and $1.9 trillion stimulus approved. I see $40 in the very near future. Spirit like most airlines has hedged their fuel costs so it’s blue sky’s ahead.
