Spirit Airlines Rising RS Rating Comes Into View
When building your watch list, focus on stocks with an 80 or higher RS Rating. Spirit Airlines (SAVE) now meets that criteria, with an increase from 77 to 82 Thursday.

Somehow my 6th sense is telling me SAVE will post better than expected result and stock price will inch closer to $30. But having said that, I won't buy at this price. LOL!!!!

Another opinion fresh off the press:
2 Stocks Ready to Take Off in 2021
    SAVE
    DIS

With a wild 2020 in the books, investors are looking ahead to a new year in which the economy's prospects will largely depend on the successful deployment of COVID-19 vaccines.

The speed at which the nation can get people inoculated will determine how quickly we can safely relax our social-distancing efforts and return to something like business as usual. That improved environment will benefit nearly all companies, but two stocks in particular that I think will gain more from it than most are Spirit Airlines (NYSE:SAVE) and Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS).

    Look to the skies
Obviously, all airlines will breathe a sigh of relief if vaccines can help get people flying in their pre-pandemic numbers again. My case for investing in Spirit as opposed to other carriers rests on the health of its balance sheet and its position as a low-cost competitor.

    Positives of Spirit:
    - The total revenue and gross profits have been consistently increasing at good rate over the years.
    - The company has been able to check the cost of revenue. The rate of increase of cost of revenue is less than the rate of increase of revenue. This is an encouraging sign for a small company like spirit.
    - The Selling and administrative expenses is relatively less compared to the profits.
    - Total current assets have been increasing since the past few years.
    - The net receivables as a percent of the revenue is very less at 1%. This is the lowest among all the airlines.
    - The trends of Operating and Investing cash flows have been positive for the last decade.

Shorts will get toasted. Vaccine is rolling out and soon pent up demand will start to be fulfilled.

Spirit is in one of the best positions in terms of the beat down airline sector. Mainly due to the nature of their cost cutting business model.

There is 15-20% short float on the stock. Any good/great vaccine rollout news will make shorts go belly up.

    $30-33 near term (3 months)
    $45-50 long term (1-2 years)

With worldwide resurgence of COVID, international travel is not gonna happen soon. Not at least for another half a year. That will force travelers to seek for domestic travel, this will benefit SAVE. Likely it won’t go up in near term, but give it another quarter or two, this thing will likely edge closer to $30.
