Kel, are you taking advantage of the peaks and sell off's? I wish I didn't have to hold until the long term capital gains kicks in. Interesting couple of days - fast run up, then what a ~800k volume same day sell off. Probably what some of the poster have said on this board - one of the recent land sellers getting some cash out of their stocks. I can't recall - 1.3m/s? I would say that the seller probably cashed half of their shares, so maybe we have to expect another selloff once the stock levels out. Only good thing is that hopefully the stocks are getting distributed to a wider public vs the 3 or 4 major shareholders.

Natural Gas was $3.42 on 1/9/2017 when they reissued the new stock at ~$33/s. At that time their debt was almost $500m.

A lot has changed, the balance sheet is way stronger, debt that they are serving is significantly down, they actually have FCF going up to $100m, 75k+ additional acreage, and the company has gotten religion on managing their business.

I would sort of expected the stock to be relatively priced - but its not - it's way under valuation as several of the posters have mentioned. What I keep hearing on CNBC and Bloomberg is that the large investors have not yet returned to the Oil and Gas stocks. Maybe at the end of this year and when the EOY % Gainers come in with Oil and Gas Stocks on top, then maybe some of the investors will move some of their cash away from the large tech to SBOW.

And maybe the $54 - 65 price targets aren't out of the question. Good luck everyone.

@Drew C. In my Merrill Edge trading platform, SBOW has Q4 2021 non GAAP EPS projections of $3.13. And full year 2022 non GAAP eps projections are 11.75

I read through their updated corporate presentation and my takeaway is that this not the same company that came out of bankruptcy 4+ years ago. This is not the same commodity environment we had 4-6 years ago.

Couple of observations that really make me love this company.
    1. the amount of FCF,
    2. the continued downward trend in debt,
    3. the continued growth in acreage - waiting for the revaluations happening this Quarter.
    4. the strength of the commodity market - the slow move of money out of Big Tech to Commodities.
    5. the international depend behind NG, the US Infrastructure bill removing the cap on Oil & NG
    6. the lack of Big Corporate Oil companies capex spending over the last 3 years.

My thought is as SBOW continues to scale and their ability to respond to market demand. They may be making them a very attractive acquisition for the majors. Just my observations.

I don't see an official non-GAAP EPS figure, but it appears that SBOW beat the non-GAAP (adjusted) EPS forecast by about $2/share.

Removing the $88.55 million mark-to-market derivatives contract "loss" (which is not really a loss, it's an opportunity cost), I get an EPS of $4.16/share. Yahoo's consensus Q3 forecast shows a projection of $2.17/share. If my calculations are correct, that's a remarkable earnings beat. Anyone else do the calculations?

Operating Income was $64M.........If no derivatives, then just interest on debt and taxes would be subtracted. Production is going up like 15% for 4Q2021 so Earnings should be Huge.

i’ve been accumulating the last three days if it continues to drop I will continue to buy The companies they are purchasing Will generate free cash flow right off the bat it was one thing I read on another message board in the coal sector with a shortage of supply of coal for US power plants they are selling overseas to the people that stuck with them while the US plants through them to the curb there’s not that much coal to substitute for natural gas this is the law before the storm all dips are buying opportunities and this company is natural gas on steroids when everything lines up and that’s going to happen before the years out.

The Business News on the % gains in the energy sector are on primetime CNBC and Bloomberg. Plus the surge in price and all of the positive news surrounding SBOW is great for the price. I don't see the land acquisitions as a dilution, if anything it may be an indicator to the growth and scaling underway in the company. I predicted the stock price to be at $30 by earnings - that's pretty on target. Now I hope the $54 one year target is achieved. Go SBOW.

here in Pennsylvania the weather has changed looking forward we’re looking at highs in the low 50s along with the third quarter earnings reports of all these energy companies this is going to be the catalyst for some big up days I personally feel we are going to have a November like we had several years back it got cold very early but it did warm up from January on but the point being made if you start out cold early it changes everything because you really don’t know what you’re going to have in January and February the unknown of the future but in the present you’re burning a lot of natural gas if that is the case the stocks are going to really rock ‘n’ roll I added today to my other two favorites Sandridge energy symbol SD and Magnolia oil and gas symbol MGY both of them do not have any hedges in place you’re going to have bang bang third quarter earnings they’re throwing off free cash flow like the Fed is throwing money out the window.
