Mr. Robinson concluded, "Spurred by remote learning experiences last spring, the digital evolution in home and school education is accelerating, leading to increased sales and usage of our highly innovative and award-winning digital literacy programs, Literacy Pro™, Scholastic F.I.R.S.T. ® and W.O.R.D.™, as well as expanded adoption of the digital editions of our classroom magazines and our recently released Learn at Home for families with fun educational activities for 4-10 year olds.  Sales also grew for flexible solutions like our take-home Grab and Go reading packs to prevent the 'slide' in the academic growth of young learners due to their extended period away from school. As we celebrate our 100th anniversary next month, we continue to innovate learning solutions which will meet the needs of millions of students, parents and teachers now and for years to come, while we reduce our cost base and strengthen our businesses to emerge from this crisis a nimble and more profitable company."

SCHL firing on all cylinders with the exception of book fairs which obviously taken a downright beating. Hard to bet against SCHL given their intellectual property as well as their physical properties. The two buildings on broadway in SOHO are about as prime real estate as you can get as well as tons of real estate globally. I only wonder how much money SCHL makes off of Harry Potter even today. Looks like the company has burned $100 million in the past year. Stock has lost siginifantly more than that but the company should come out of the pandemic much much more efficient. I’ll keep buying into weakness

I guess I'm the only one who finds it strange that the CEO unexpectedly died 8 days ago and there's been no new info on his replacement, not even an interim CEO appointment, and their website hasn't even been updated. #$%$ Robinson was a great guy, but he's not running the company from the grave. And the market doesn't seem to care.

Just bought some of this. Would love to hear about a significant acceleration in digital education sales in ER. Good luck to all!

Weird how no one talks about this stock and the volume is super low. Dominating the young book space since 1920 and don’t see them going away anytime soon. Especially once schools are back open.

Sad to see the ceo and chairman of scholastic pass away. This man did more for kids creativity and reading skills than the nonsense like YouTube and Netflix and coco melon do these days

Should be interesting to see how schl did during the Xmas season when they report on Thursday. Seems like book stores and getting foot traffic again around me. Nothing like the serendipity of book stores !

Looks like a tug of war between buyers and sellers going to the ER.

Schl mgmt kind of confirming how the stimulus to schools and individuals puts SCHL on the drivers seat esp after the streamlining of the business post pandemic. Let’s hope it plays out well for shareholders

Nobody seems worried that they still haven't announced an interim CEO...

Nice to see SCHL claw back the losses from its earnings announcements. Great that they went into this pandemic in great shape financially (hundreds of millions of net cash plus the Manhattan buildings and England and Australia real estate). It could have turned out much differently.

Harry Potter on Broadway selling out; maybe book sales go up?

SCHL should be a big beneficiary of the school stimulus, the school reopening and Romney’s proposed cash for children

These learning companies have been selling to schools for decades. I have to believe that they have decent connections with school systems. There is a lot of CARES Act money floating around. I am expecting an earnings beat here. Schools didn't know if they needed to be in person or remote, so they must have prepared for both. Hopefully SCHL was able to grab a piece of that action.
