It's never too early to get into the spirit of Halloween, especially if you're Disney (NYSE: DIS) and can get visitors to pay as much as $199 for an evening of family-friendly diversions. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is back at Disney World's Magic Kingdom for the first time since 2019. The event was canceled after the resort reopened in 2020 in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, followed by the watered down Disney After Hours Boo Bash last year.
SeaWorld Entertainment Inc.'s first half of 2022 has brought positive returns in both attendance and revenue. The Orlando-based marine theme park company (NYSE: SEAS) welcomed more than 9.7 million guests to its parks for the six months ended June 30, up 20.5% from 8 million in the same period last year, according to the company's second quarter earnings report released Aug. 4. Despite the growth, SeaWorld CEO Marc Swanson said in a news release, there is still room to grow.
SeaWorld Entertainment Inc (NYSE: SEAS) reported second-quarter FY22 sales growth of 14.8% year-on-year to $504.82 million, marginally beating the consensus of $504.32 million. Attendance was 6.3 million guests, an increase of 7.8% from last year. Attendance declined by 3.1% versus 2Q19.
