Jim, but all that time Input has gone up by 20% in a sideways market. Something is happening but I don't know what it is.

I don't know what the latest news flash from Input means other than the company will pay a dividend. I don't know what improvements to "shareholder value" means. What I do know is that shareholder equity continues to drop.

Does the board want the company to continue doing what it's doing or do something else? I cannot make out what they're saying.

I told everybody this "takeover" by a nothing entity sounded fishy. Was it a scam by management to get them a quick escape?

I'm glad I sold out early on only the news that there was a bid. I hope nobody actually believed someone wanted to buy Input and held on thinking they would get some money out of this takeover.

Maybe you just need some patience. It's an ongoing business that pays a dividend that is supported by revenue. One day an analyst will see a non-energy company paying over 6% and may do a write-up. Another problem is consistency. The business is heavily dependent upon weather which deters investors who are looking for momentum. I do need to admit that after five years it is about time we saw SOME earnings momentum.

So the shareholders who sold their shares back to the company for .82 appear to have made a smart choice. As of today, October 03, 2019, the price per share is .69. Disclaimer: I did not sell any of my shares back to Input. I remain a bag holder and management seems content with the status quo. Take a look at the four year stock chart. Does the status quo look like it's working for Input Capital?

This company was doing poorly even before China’s decision to boycott Canadian canola. Management said they were considering changes such as adding another crop to diversify, and they made zero changes. Now management and investors have to hope the Chinese boycott ends before they run out of cash.

Just bought 5000. Local company and I think the merger is a great time for growth.

Input should have put out a press release last month announcing a December dividend. I am guessing yesterday's large drop is partially related to the suspension of the dividend. Another guess is that the next earnings release will be very disappointing. I thought Input had an excellent business model, which is why I became am a shareholder. Obviously, I made a mistake.

If producers are hurting surely that’s an environment that presents growth opportunities for an industry specific liquidity/financing provider.

yes Jim but it sounds fishy... a company whose stock sells a $0.03 USD bought input @ 1.75 CAD... go figure.
