After all the transactions sfl has improved the enterprise value by 1/2 billion dollars but, the stock price has barely budged. Look for this to be corrected soon, I would hope

Looks like the courts approved SDRL's Chapter 11 plan. No word on the West Linus yet. An excerpt - Confirmation of the Issuer's Plan brings the Seadrill group one step closer to finalizing the comprehensive restructuring of the Seadrill group. The Issuer expects to emerge from chapter 11 in the near term. Seadrill's chapter 11 plan of reorganization was confirmed by the Court in October 2021 and is anticipated to go effective in the first quarter of 2022.

It's sad that I've noticed this; but SFL has re-highlighted the 2 offshore rigs on their website's home page.
As we await this amended Seadrill terms, I can only hope that this is a good sign

Best wishes to everyone for the new year!

Does anyone have a tradewinds account that could summarize the recent decision for both parties to step back from the legal dispute regarding the continuation of the West Linus Charter? There seems to be an indication that whatever threat there was regarding the continuation of the charter that it has been resolved but SFL has not posted anything on their site about the news. This, combined with the recent wins for the West Hercules, should bode very well for SFL.

West Hercules – awarded a one well contract with Equinor in Canada adding $57m in backlog. Operations are set to commence in April 2022. Additionally, Equinor exercised another one well option in Norway for the rig under a continuous optionality provision adding $9m in backlog.

**This comment reflects my thinking.... Any thoughts

JF gifts SFL 4 product tankers or did he take advantage of them again? Backlog charter value = cost of the ships:
"SFL Corporation Ltd. (NYSE: SFL) (“SFL” or the “Company”) announced today that it has agreed to acquire four modern Aframax LR2 product tankers for an aggregate purchase price of $160 million in combination with long term time charters to a subsidiary of Trafigura, a world-leading commodity trading and logistics company.
The vessels are built in 2014 and 2015 and have modern eco-design features including exhaust gas cleaning systems. The Company expects to take delivery of the vessels between December 2021 and February 2022.
The sellers are affiliates of Frontline Limited (“Frontline”) and the purchase price is in line with valuations by independent shipbrokers. Hemen Holdings Ltd., who owns approximately 20% of the Company’s issued and outstanding shares, is also a major shareholder in Frontline.
The charter period of the vessels will be for minimum five years with extension options thereafter, adding approximately $160 million to SFL’s fixed-rate backlog. The charterer will also have the option to develop a sale of the vessels during the charter period, subject to a profit share mechanism with SFL. "

This is the turn we have been looking for. The dividend increase signals to me that the company has faith that things are improving.

Happily invested in thus stock. I don't see why thus would not return to pre-COVUD levels. My understanding of this stock is that it might not have thd best numbers in the world but it is pretty strong and pays s great divvy. Thanks to billionaire owner. Shipping os doing well now, so so should SFL.

Haven't listened to the CC but would like to see more on the drill rigs. The presentation says the Hercules is consolidated with the Q3 results but not broken out. The SDRL website lists Herculese and Linus as owned by SDRL and a $152 charge was taken on the Hercules, plus a charter off the Canadian coast. The bankruptcy will not be final until the end of Dec. Does that mean the book will be closed before the end of Q4? The dividend increase must mean that if further charges are taken against SFL earnings in Q4 they must be manageable. Hard to figure.

Such an undervalued stock - I have owned for over 10 years, and essentially the dividends have paid off the original price.

They way I am looking at this stock : I am holding tight until they get all this past them and get the dividend back to 0.25. once that happens the stock should be in the mid $13 range. Then I will unload my most expensive shares and keep the cheap #$%$ ones!
