Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") has today affirmed SGL Carbon SE's (SGL Carbon) B3 corporate family rating (CFR) and B3-PD probability of default rating (PDR). Concurrently, Moody's has affirmed the B2 instrument rating of SGL Carbon's EUR250 million senior secured notes. On 25 October 2019 the company published its second profit warning within a short period of time and some initial performance indications for 2020.
Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") has completed a periodic review of the ratings of SGL Carbon SE and other ratings that are associated with the same analytical unit. The review was conducted through a portfolio review in which Moody's reassessed the appropriateness of the ratings in the context of the relevant principal methodology(ies), recent developments, and a comparison of the financial and operating profile to similarly rated peers. SGL's B3 corporate family rating (CFR) and B3-PD probability of default rating remain unchanged.
