They fought with their union for more than a month so steel production might be down a little.....Company was Operating at Full production on 6/8 so maybe a small decrease, but we shall see when earnings are released. Brazilians bought 7.5% more autos in July than they Did in June so Huge increase.

Added another 5900 shares at 3.02......I thought they would sell it lower. Maybe tomorrow.

I want to buy this stock. Is the dividend subject to US or Brazil withholding?
    Thanks.

They need to do a reverse split to reduce the amount of shares outstanding. Perhaps a 1-10 reverse split

Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais S.A., another iron ore miner / steel producer from Brazil just announced record earnings. They had no problem selling all of their iron. Also, Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional is even more undervalued than aforementioned company. This doesn't mean SID will repeat its success, but I think outlook is getting better and better every day.

Stock selling at ten dollars below book value. Debt is high, but lots of cash. Large amt. of shares outstanding.
Great industry, excellent revenues. A good long term buy.

Load up now! This stock is at an inflection point. The stock is consolidating as it moves closer to earnings. This stock will be great as a dividend play alone even before its inevitable move up between 6 and 7.
    Bullish

What’s you thoughts on this stock?
I bought in at $7.77, because of Zacks reports looked compelling. Since I bought it the Zacks score has moved from (Strong Buy) to (Strong Sell) and the stock price has fell.

I haven’t seen any news to warrants this considerable drop

I did some estimates. Steel alone might produce $500m - $600m, although energy cost increase makes me lean towards lower range. Previous quarter, SID made around $500m on steel, and as we know spot prices were higher during Q3. But I'd rather be pessimistic here than dissapointed later.

Iron sales are around 8mt - 9mt every quarter. With pessimistic estimate as if they were selling Iron for the whole quarter as if spot price was at $110 and energy prices went up 10%, I would expect around $300m EBIDTA from iron.

Logistics prices and profit margins are on the rise, last quarter SID made around $45m on this. I won't make any guesses here though. Same goes for cement, on the rise since last year. Last quarter they made around $30m on cement related operations.

All in all, this should give pretty decent beat on $0.31 estimate.

I recommend doing estimates yourself here, as clearly analysts are constantly missing the reality with this stock. I also welcome any opinions.

Their Average price for Iron ore was just $109 for December quarter…….Iron ore up to $156 now so I don’t know how it will trade tomorrow since I don’t know the final earnings……Steel segment earnings are 2X higher than 4Q2020…….I’ll check later on P.C.

Iron ore Sept futures around 97 bucks cost basis for SID still gives them huge profits!

Valor 2day: sid is building new cement factory, 1.5 billion...along with new galavanize site, 1.5 billion. no asset sales, German plant is no touch and Sid has given up for now selling Usiminas shares. Recent sale of 7% bonds to pay off 6% debt. worrisome trend to me

Great company. Visited their website and loved it. Paying dividend, growing revenue, growing earnings, buying back shares and making everything needed for infrastructure - steel, mining, logistics, energy, and cement.
